Hey, I am 40 weeks today and i have been having period like pains since tuesday, they were pretty constant but have wore off today. the stain on your bed sheet sounds like u have lost ur plug but i have had no signs of losing mine yet. I saw my midwife yesterday and she said it sounds like i shouldnt need my sweep which i am booked in for next week. fingers crossed but im not hopeful. I would monitor your pains and call your midwife if in doubt.

could be labour but everyone different so wouldnt like to speculate.
Time the tummy ache between start of one tummy ache and the next. If over the next few hours you see a pattern you could be in the first stages of labour. Good luck.

I think you are in labour. The stain on your matress could be the mucous plug which has been released. It's one of the first signs of being in labour. Other signs are sever pains which come and go and breaking of the waters.

Time you pains. When they are about 10 minutes apart, get yourself to a hospital or you could end up delivering your baby where you are.

PS. Weren't you told by your midwife what to expect?

Sounds like your body is limbering up for the big day. I used to get twinges and sensations like you describe a few weeks before both my sons were born. They would start and then stop, then start again. Eventually, they didn't stop and I went into first stage labour. Good luck. Hope it all goes well for you.

Call your doctor or go to the hospital....I'm not too sure about this...but I heard sometimes when womens water breaks and its like a yellowish brownish color that means the baby is releasing it's meconium and it could be in distress...don't freak out though just give your doctor or local e.r. a call asap. Good Luck your baby is probably gonna be here soon

yellowy stain....is it (sounds horrid) mucas (snot) consisitency? If so, probably show. It doesn't always happen in one go. the pains and hurting when you walk, perfectly normal at this stage of pregnancy, the pressure on your muscles is immense.
If for any reason you are concerned, REALLY concerned, call your midwife or labour ward. It sounds as though it's immenent though, so be prepared.

It sounds to me like the baby is getting ready to make its entrance into the world. I remember feeling that with both of my children. It sounds to me like you are ready for it so good luck.
