my b/f has two boys 4&8 from his ex. their mother isnt the greatest of moms. she seperates them all day and keeps them gated in their rooms so they cant get out. the 4 year old isnt even potty trained or know colors abc and has a hard time with speach. the main problem is they are crazy! constantly hitting punching pinching bitting eachother. if we ask them to stop they tell us mommy says we dont have to listen to you,no. and they climb all over the furniture, jump off it. they curse, they know everyword. scream all day long throw things, break things purposly. we cant control them. and we cant talk to the mom because she doesnt care about them. when we sit them in time out it might last for 5 minutes but its the same thing all over again. what can we do? we only get them on weekends n wesdys. she has them the rest. my bf tried getting custody but she has effed most of the township cops. and always aeems to get her way in court... what to do to straighten out the kids while their over?

In your opinion, when should a kid quit using sippy cups and bibs? I like sippy cups because they keep my carpet and car from getting ruined. Bibs keep my daughter's clothes stain free! Without bibs her clothes get stained, and no matter what I use I can't get the staines out! When do you think it the appropriate time to stop these cups? Even the ones that have straws and aren't so babyish? THANKS!! Merry Christmas!

I have heard that people that dont want kids are selfish and that they are not following the Bible because it says "go forth & multiply". Just wondering what other people thought about this.

I don't want to be judged for this stupid habit I have, but I have been smoking for 4 years, and I'm now 22 years old. I found out I was pregnant (I'm now 7 1/2 months) with my first child. I found out that I was pregnant at about 1 1/2 - 2 mths, and I quit cold turkey after smoking pretty much a pack a day. To this day I still feel guilty for smoking the first month that I was pregnant, but I didn't know I was. But now that I'm 7 1/2 months, I'm trying to keep it this way. I have not touched a cig since the 1st month of pregnancy. I have been sober from everything. The problem is, I have been getting urges to smoke, and I just want to know if there are tips to stay away from it for sure. It's hard for me as is because my whole family smokes, all my friends smoke, I don't know one person that doesn't. I just want to know some tips or what I can eat or drink or do to keep this nasty habit off.

My husband and I are in search of a child psychologist for my three year old son. What are some good places to start looking for information on one? My ex is truly emotionally abusing our son, my son is in counseling, he is a very angry three year old who punches, kicks, spits, and head butts. His father has an abusive history that is why we are now divorced, it just seems like the cycle may be repeating itself through our son. My ex is an alcoholic and has threatened to kill my current husband, if we stay married. Is there anyway that a child psychologist can help us? We believe my ex to be a sociopath due to his behavoir. Our main concern is the child and how to best help him. We had supervised visits for a while but since the child did not show he was scared of his father they were canceled. Please we are trying to help him so any help is appreciated or advice. thanks.

Mine would be when my mother in law trys to in her own words explain to me how even though I work full time and I am 6 months pregnant that I should walk behind my children at all times and clean their every mess.

Ok that's fine and dandy if your a stay at home mom but I'm not (she was). My husband is the laziest man that I have ever met on the earth! I say that is because of her and her not teaching him respondsibilities growing up and just did everything for him. For goodness sake she ran his bath water until he was 20 if I knew now what I didn't know then LOL J/K I love him but....

The question is what are your pet peeves with raising your children?

My daughter is 15 months (will be 16 months in 5 days). I took her today to her 15 month check up and she was 34 inches and 32lbs 7oz, the doctor (who isn't my normal doctor because my normal doctor is on maternity leave) said that he was concerned with her weight. She has always been big for her height and weight (I am 5'5" and my husband is 6'5") So should I be concerned and try to start cutting what I feed her, she doesn't get that much in junk food normally. Thank you in advance.

I'm kinda uncomfortable with my boyfriend sometimes because he's not a virgin and I am. He's never pushed me into doing anything that I dont want to do and I know he never will. I'm worried that if we ever do, do anything that I'll look stupid because I wont really know what I'm doing and he will. Is it normal to feel this way? We're both in highschool

I'm 23 and don't feel that I will ever want my own children. Don't get me wrong, I love kids! I look forward to my siblings having kids so that I can be the cool aunt who mentors them.

People tell me that my feelings will change over time but so far I have no desire to raise my own children.

why do kids ask questions like ' can you get pregnant from oral'?

ie whay should they have to... why dont parents and teachers go through things like this in detail especailly as its

A) Part of pretty much everyone's sex life nothing immoral about it

B) Part of foreplay an essentail part of sex and often the best and longest part

C) Why cut it its a legit question and if kids see it well whats the problem in that? everythign should be learnt and they will need to know too

D) many have lots of oral sex before they have convential sex especailly in teens

E) its a lot safer in that you cant get pregnant

F) the teacher and parent responsible for not teaching that can they be knee capt for the crime of keeping a kid dangerously ignorant

G) It encourages people to keep themselves clean and eat healthy

Ie why should they have to why not teach them this and everythign so they dont have to ask

She started with a tinge of bloody discharge about 2-3 weeks ago. She doesn't appear stressed or in pain, but her belly is not growing anymore either. Everything seems ready except she won't have the baby. What should I do?
