Whenever she wants it. She'll let you know when it's not filling her up. Try to give her 2 more oz. and if she doesn't spit it all up later, she can handle it. That's what my son's doc said to do.

You increase the formula when after your baby finishes the bottle and still looks like she wants more.
I always put more milk in the bottle, so if my son wants more, there's more. My son is 13 months now. The most he will drink is 6 oz of milk; therefore, we feed him baby food in between feedings. We also give him snacks constantly to keep him full.

You will know because they will either get fussy right after feeding because they aren't full or they will start getting hungrier faster than the usual 3-4 hr span. That's when you can start trying... and if they aren't ready for it, you will know, because it will come right back up and out.

Does she suck her bottle dry and look around for more? Then she wants more! If she doesn't finish what you are making her now, then she is doing fine. You will know she needs more when you finish a bottle and 10 minutes later she is crying because she is hungry!
