Pregnancy & Parenting - 12 December 2007

I found out today that my pregnancy has a chance of being ectopic. I was instructed to go to the ER if my shoulder hurt, had nausea, abdomen pain, dizziness or bleeding. I only have shoulder pain, and I had an episode of shoulder pain last night as well. I happened to sleep on my arm also though. I do not know what to do. Wouldn't I have severe pain in my abdomen if my shoulder got to the point of hurting? I am scared I will go to the ER and they will tell me that I need to terminate it before we know for sure. Please help , any one that can answer. The pain in my shoulder is not severe...it also hurts in my neck. Maybe it's a tension headache??

I adopted my ex-wifes child. We are now divorced. She has moved away and I have very little contact with my adoptive child. Their choice by the way. She knows I'm not her real father. I do however get stuck paying hefty child support for this child who lives in another state. My ex takes me to court all the time to have it raised. I want out. Is this possible. I was trying to be a nice guy because her real father wasn't much to brag about. There is got to be something I can do. Any feedback would be nice.

I heard that for babies getting the flu shot for the first time, they have to get two, one month apart.

However, my baby didn't get her second shot last year, when she got the flu shot for the first time. Now that she's 16 months and got her flu shot again, should I take her back after a month and get the second shot, or does it not matter anymore?

My son is a year old and we want to start putting him on whole milk a few times a day to slowly wean him off formula. How much and how often should we give it to him? I figured that we shouldn't just switch...perhaps start out with one bottle of whole milk a day? Has anyone's kids had problems switching?

I want to know how many ladies and how did you manage to:

work a full time job 8-5
worked a part time job as anything
gone to college
and care for your child.

I have been feeling real sad and depressed leaving my son. I work from MF 8 to 5. Work at Shoney's night shift sometimes till close. And go to college. And care for my 7 month old son. I feel I am neglicting him but I am trying to provide for both of us.
How did you manage it? Or gentleman how did you do it?

I feel so sad and tired!

Please any advice is good

Ok, My sister & her husband got pregnant about Oct.. She was a month in a half along when she found out & went to the doctors. The doc did a urine test & came out positive then took a blood test because my sister started to have cramps & bleeding. The pregnancy hormone was very low. So the doctor said most likely she is having a miscarriage. Doc say to wait for a period & then try again.
My sister was devastated but still kept taking her prenatal pill & folic acid pills. Now here in Dec she found out she is pregnant again. Doc says by the time of when they thought the miscarriage was she is about 7 1/2 weeks. We did the calculations & we believe she never lost the baby.
Did she have a miscarriage or did the baby never die?Or did they get pregnant right after?Or is there that possibility that she had twins & only one of the babies died & so her body thought she was having a miscarriage but she wasn't. Tell me ur thoughts on this....

you normally make powdered formula with hot water, but I have a plastic one. Should I buy a glass bottle or mix the formula and cool it before putting it in the bottle? I'm really concerned

yeah this is kinda a stupid question but w/e

on friday there is a school dance and i think my parents are letting me go first yes then no then yes and soo on

anyways dance is frm 5-8 but me and my friends are leaving like at 7 or 7:30 to go to the movies because 2 people dont wanna go to the dance so were joining them at the movies
ok anyways basically we r arriving most likely at 8 or 7:30 to the movies would u let ur daughter who is 12 yrs old and i am responsible and i actually answer my phone.
go to the movies with about 6 girls on a friday night no adult supervision im afraid to ask my parents because they are strict but i mean all the other girls parents are letting them go.
the movie theatre is actually pretty safe not ghetto and we r watching alvin and the chipmunks bom chicka wah wah haha anyways would u letter ur daughter go?

I went to the dr today Im 9w4d pregnant. There was no heartbeat, baby measured only 8wks.
Ive had no cramping or bleeding or spotting. Should I keep waiting to miscarry or do the D&C. I dont want to sit around for a week knowing my baby didnt survive and is still inside of me, but the D&C sounds awful to me. Im just so upset.

So my friend is 12 years old. She is about 5'1. (Not sure) (I don't know if this is important to this question)

Anyway.... She is super skinny! She tells me she is 68 pounds! (At this age we are suppose to be like 98-106? RIght)

She keeps saging she needs to go on a diet because she is fat. She has been doing this for a few years. Then she slaps her stomache and says that is plain fat. (By the way she dances for a dance company 6 days a week till 5:30-9:00)

Anyway do you think she is doing ti for attention or is she being serious.


By the way do you think I am being selfish for getting mad she is saying that? I am getting tired of it.

Yesterday I had sex for the first time. We used a condom but after he 'finished' we took it off and kept going. Is it possible that the sperm left on his penis could impregnate me? I am a little worried. Any thoughts?
