My son is almost 5 months old and has never been able to sleep on his back except for maybe an hour or two. At the most he has slept on his back for 4 hours. But he always ends up waking up screaming. Once he was able to lift his head on his own I started letting him take his naps on his stomach while watching him and he did fine. He now completly lifts his whole upper body and turns his head one way or the other while on his stomach and never puts his face down into the bed or anything like that. I have also been cosleeping with him because I dont want to put him in his bed on his stomach and leave him to sleep. But I want to know when I can. I know everyone says when they can roll over, but does that mean only from back to stomach? He rolls from his stomach to back and when I watch him he doesnt look like he is in any danger of getting into a position to sufficate, but I dont want to risk it. Please help.

I have been seeing a guy for a year. I was under the impression we had a committed relationship. I loved him, he said he loved me. I'm 25, we had even talked about marriage the the bomb dropped!! Six weeks ago he told me he was having a fling on the side & the girl is pregnant... 5 months pregnant. My heart was broken and my pride damaged. I found out a week later I was pregnant. Not only am I pregnant, I'm having twins. I told him and he responded he just wants his son. We have talked since then and he seems to be coming around but I haven't seen him in person since I told him. He suggested a name... thats all the interest he has shown. I personally fell in love with these babies when I saw them for the first time on the ultrasound. But Travis, well, He lies to me constantly.. what to do?!? I have a great job and can do this financially but I can't believe he has done this or is being this way. This is a man I loved and have been friends with for 15 years...

Please no rude or dumba** comments....

I am a stay at home mom with 3 kids. (Two are my step-kids, one my own.) Two go to school all day and one is home with me. I have had a lot of life changes happen in the last year, one of them being leaving my full time job and staying at home with the kids.

I have joined online groups and chats, but those are so limited. I don't seem like I am getting enough adult conversation, and just feel lonley. My husband tries to help, and does his best. He's in no way to blame. I love him very much, and hes a great partner.

I suppose I am just here to get some comments and suggestions from other stay at home moms who have gone through this. I need some coping skills and ideas to get the "old me" back. I just don't feel like myself....

Thank you ahead of time! :)

so basically i have a primitive drive to spread my genes (i am a man, if thats not obvious) so id ideally like to impregnate women all over the world and have loads of kids. the problem with this is that it would be immoral, you know i couldnt raise them, it would be really unfair on all those mothers etc. and i want to marry one woman and have kids with her. but i really want loads of kids. how do i deal with this problem? i either have to stop wanting to have loads of children, or i have to find a way to have hundreds of kids morally, or i have to stop caring about morals. but i dont see any of those things happening...
any suggestions?
thank you!

My 2 year old daughter is watching way to much t.v and even if she don't watch it she still want her show on. And won't let us change the subject show. Her show is only Barney. And if I don't let her see Barney she will throw a big tantrum. We only have one tv in the whole house. I do plan to buy a portable one just for her but I really don't want to spoil her. What should I do?

To everyone that knows the case with my daughter...

Well...I'm terminating next week.

I found out today the right side of her heart is failing.
And there's a bunch of problems with the heart.
There is almost NO Tibia bone in her left leg.(The tibia is the bone that supports weight)

I also found out that she has A LOT of Chromosome 7 deleted...and there is no cases out there like mine.
The ones closest to it were SMALL deletions of Chrom. 7 and 100% of those babies had severe problems.

They also told me since shes missing most of the bone in her left leg...Doctors would probably amputate.

They also said there's a very high chance of her being a still birth or dying very soon after birth.

Also found that the big toe on her right foot has 2 bones in it instead of one.

And that's just the stuff they found on the US.
That's the very minimal of what will be wrong with her....

Therefore, I'm terminating next week.
not because it's the "easy way out." but..

Who is responsible if my 3 year old falls out of the shopping cart that has a broken seatbelt?

The local store I go to has around 30 shopping carts and almost every single seatbelt is broken. The way the carts are stored makes it difficult to look for the one or two carts that I know is somewhere in the mix that has proper seatbelts, so most of the time I just put my son in the first one I can get at.

Now I have told one of the employees about this problem and she said she would tell the owner about it so the promblem can be fixed, but about 6 months have gone by and the belts are still broken.

I do use the seatbelts when they work, (I have yet to EVER find a broken belt at Wal-mart), so I do hate the looks I get from other people that do not have small children when my kid has to sit inside the cart.

Myself and my husband have been long time foster parents, since before we had bio kids. I was an adoptee myself, so felt 'qualified', if you will, to understand the bond that can exist between parents and children who aren't genetically related.
Anyway, I hear and read of many people wishing to adopt children, and many do adopt through the foster system. But, and it's a big but, do you think it's fair that people get to adopt straight up, without 'fostering' the child first?
We've adopted 1 foster child so far, with another adoption in the pipeline, but we've gone through all the hard yards that come with fostered children initially, with our children and many many others.
Why do some parents expect to be able to just walk on in and have a straightforward adoption without first fostering, or even serving the foster-to-adopt side of the program?
I could be mistaken, but it sometimes seems a little selfish to me. What do others think, or what have your experiences with this been?

I don't understand it.. Teen years are hard enough as it is, with going through puberty and the change in your body.. but then so many teens make it so much worse for themselves by having unprotected sex, doing drugs, breaking the law...

I just don't understand, why they would want to complicate their lives even more.

I was always told on my pediatrician not to use cortizone cream on children under 6 because it was steroids and could cause harm to the child. The label on the tube says not to use it on children also.
My friend tells me that I'm crazy, and put it on her infant grandaughter for diaper rash (her know-it-all daughter who is perfect and an expert in everything said it was ok to do).....Any doctors have any advice on this?

My daughter is 19 months old, and she recently was in the ER for passing out and hitting her head on the cement. She had a bad not. They did a CAT scan, and said she needed to see a brain specialist. They also found a severe urinary tract infection. I was told this was extremely rare in a child her age, and it is very likely that her kidneys could shut down. She has been really grumpy, upset, always pale, and she keeps spacing off, like extremely bad, worse than I've ever seen. Does anybody have some words of advice on how I should handle this? I don't know what to do, and I am so stressed I'm worried that I am going to do something wrong. Any type of advice, or words of comfort, would be appreciated.

A few days ago, my bf was laying ontop of me. I could feel his penis rubbing around my vaginal area and i THINK i felt it go inside. He was wearing his clothes while i was wearing my skirt so his clothes touched around in there. I'm extremely scared that I'll become pregnant. Is there any chance that i could become pregnant?

My 2 1/2 year old son is still happily nursing. We have never had any problems up until the last 8 months. Three different random times he has gotten a rash that last about 3-4 days. The rash comes and goes and shows up on different parts of his body. The rash seems to appear mostly on his head and seems to erupt the most during the middle of breastfeeding. The rash then goes away and comes back again when he is nursing. Like i said earlier this goes on for about 3 days and then it goes away again. My diet has not changed and no one else in the house including my 2 other children are unaffected. I am looking for some insight. If any one has had a similar experience. Thank you in advance.

My 4 almost 5 month old son has already been well into his solid foods. I started him a lil before 4 months just because of how big he is. Right now he's 27 1/2 inchs long, and weighs about 20 lbs. Anywho, he loved the rice cereal at first, but once I gave him the oatmeal he just hates the rice. He is eating vegs and loves them. But when I try to sneak in some rice cereal he spits it out and trys to his the spoon away and just freaks out. Is it alright to just give him the oatmeal as his only kind of cereal?
