I would never have an abortion - but I would not presume to stop another from having one. Your body, your choice.

First of all, it's important to understand that the two camps are both dispicable. One side, euphamistically calling itself 'pro-life' is working towards the reproductive enslavement of women. I'm sorry, but de-humanizing half the population because they happen to have wombs is not a nice position to take. The other, equally euphamistically hiding under the term 'pro-choice' wants nothing more or less than the right to murder unborn babies.
Really, anti-choice and pro-death would be better terms.

I know several women that have had abortions. I don't know of any of them that regret the decision and most have gone on to have good, healthy relationships and eventually have children.
The one thing pro-lifers do that disgusts me is putting their children on a picket line carrying pictures of aborted fetuses. You should be ashamed of yourself as a parent for letting that happen. There are more responsible ways of teaching your kids what you believe is right or wrong.
My only real concern is that making it illegal isn't going to make it stop. It will only be a return to coat hangers and back alleys. Desperate people take desperate measures. At least making it legal makes it safer.

There are very few circumstances that I feel it is OK to have an abortion. For the most part I am pro-life. I've never had an abortion and couldn't picture myself having one but I guess in certain circumstances I would have to consider it, like if It was best for the baby or I was dying.

It just starts such arguments, and people get so pissy over this subject, and of course its always the pro choice people who get testy.
I was molested and drugged as a 13 year old for 3 months. I had nightmares of years about being raped, so its probable that it happened, because theres no way a virgin can feel and know those things, even in dreams.
I came to terms with the fact that even at 13 i would rather die than kill the product of that mishap.
I have a son, and I know I would have died to give him life. And I'd still die to defend it.
No one can decide to kill another person, but they can do a lot to NOT make them in the first place. There are options, like adoption and medication for rape victims. So theres no excuse.

Pro-choice.
Never had an abortion.
Pregnant with my first and would never have even dreamed of getting an abortion. But I don't think people have the right to tell others how they should run their lives. People say the fetus is a living thing too, but either way, it's the woman's child. She can choose what she wants to do with it.

well not going to give my opinion really but just letting you know this is going to stirr up a lot of emotions on here because there are a lot of pregnant mommies on here that will get very upset by this! i can say that in the 10 commandments it says thou shalt not kill, and no matter how far along you are i believe you are killing, however there are extreme mesures where some women should have an abortion such as health conditions to the mother!

Well I used to be pro-life, but then I was put in the situation
I was having a hard time with alot of things for about 2 years
anxiety, family problems, and alot of other things. I ended up pregnant and decided to get one, it was the right thing for ME to do. Now I am very pro-choice but I would never have another abortion. It did affect me emotionally, but I know it was the right decision for me.

I'm both.
I'm pro life because I believe that's the right thing to do.
I'm pro choice because it's going to be a choice no matter what.
And I really mean 'pro choice' and not 'pro abortion' or 'pro death' which is the majority of the Democratic party.
Then again if you're stupid enough to get int an unwanted pregnancy nowadays you are probably not qualified to raise children in the first place.

I had an abortion in July this year! An i regretted it to no end. However i am pregnant again, and my boyfriend is wanting me to terminate, its not gonna happen.
I asked a question sort of like yours. Just about my personal experience... feel free to check it out.
But yeah... all in all... i am pro-life... simply because i have had an abortion with chronic amounts of regret, which months later is STILL haunting me!

I am Pro-life. I don't understand what ever made humans think they could chose if a life lives or not. I've seen my baby move at 8 weeks, no one can tell me that's not a baby. It's just not logical. I honestly believe that people that say they are pro-choice believe it's murder too, but won't say that because for them convenience is easier. People are naturally selfish and don't want to take responsibility.
