My 2 1/2 year old son is still happily nursing. We have never had any problems up until the last 8 months. Three different random times he has gotten a rash that last about 3-4 days. The rash comes and goes and shows up on different parts of his body. The rash seems to appear mostly on his head and seems to erupt the most during the middle of breastfeeding. The rash then goes away and comes back again when he is nursing. Like i said earlier this goes on for about 3 days and then it goes away again. My diet has not changed and no one else in the house including my 2 other children are unaffected. I am looking for some insight. If any one has had a similar experience. Thank you in advance.

maybe he has developed an allergy to something that he wasn't allergic to before. That's a tough one-good luck

Is it just a pattern of redness on his face? Its from the action of nursing, or the position, or his excitement in the moment. Its like a rush of blood to the head, and it stays in certain areas longer, making it looks discolored and like a rash.

My son always got that when nursing from time to time.
