U know what , i have heard of this happening that people dont know they are having twins untill the give birth. I am kind of scared that i am one of those people because my fundamental height at 20 weeks was 24 cm which is bigger than normal and i didnt get an ultrasound untill 20 weeks so i am worried that the baby is too big to see too. I also heard that one twin can be hidden behind the other

Twins on your DH's ingredient makes no distinction! additionally, this style of twins will confirm whether or no longer it runs on your loved ones: are they fraternal or comparable? Identicals can take place to every physique..they're a fluke of nature and are brought about by utilising a fertilized egg unexpectedly splitting. Fraternals are the kind which runs in families and are brought about given which you have the gene which makes you launch 2 eggs extremely of one. the 2d egg is released interior 24 hours of the 1st. in case you do take place to be PG with twins, they'd would desire to do a trans-vaginal ultrasound this early. they'd attempt a classic one first while you're in simple terms further alongside, yet while they are able to't discover something that way, they'll change to the different sort because it extremely is plenty extra elementary to confirm early progression from an inner test.

I'm sure the one at 12 weeks would have shown twins for sure if there were twin. I'd say it's VERY unlikely there would be twins after two ultrasounds. You'd probably be measuring quite large by this point as well.

Didnt happen to me, but it has happened.

In some cases if the babies are positioned just right they cancel eachother out so they only see on, sort of like one being right under the other. Its not common, and it is not probable with the new 3d scanners, but with the original black and white fuzzy ones it can happen.

Its not something that happens often at all, but it has happened.

I am sure it can happen but usually they do catch it. The twins I know can kind of hide behind each other...
