you normally make powdered formula with hot water, but I have a plastic one. Should I buy a glass bottle or mix the formula and cool it before putting it in the bottle? I'm really concerned

no, the plastic bottles are designed for heat. In fact many people that don't have a sterilizer boil the bottles in hot water to sterilize them. I poor boiling hot water in to my bottles all the time, no problem. If you're concerned just wait for the water to cool a bit.

Huh?
Are you concerned that the plastic might melt? If the water is boiling hot, then it might melt... but it's also too hot to give to the baby. Just wait for thewater to cool down. It doesn't need to be hot when you mix the formula.
I would fill up a kettle, and boil water before bed. When I woke up in the morning I would use the cold previously boiled water to mix up the bottles I needed for the day.

There is no health hazard in using a hard plastic baby bottle to mix your formula in.

Anything you have heard that it is dangerous is Urban Legend.

there is an excellent line between okay to reheat and not okay to reheat. you do no longer prefer to reheat if toddler has already fed from the bottle or if it somewhat is been left for greater effective than 2 hours out of the refrigerator. In the two circumstances you may ought to throw it away by using fact micro organism will start to reproduce. in spite of the undeniable fact that, if toddler hasn't fed from the bottle and it somewhat is been stored interior the refrigerator (coolest section, in many instances on the returned) then it somewhat is okay to reheat interior of 24 hours by using fact the cool temperature keeps micro organism at bay. it somewhat is completely fantastic to reheat in warm water, even if if or no longer it somewhat is in a cup, jug, bowl etc... i might continuously use a thermo cup so it keeps the warmth greater valuable fairly of the chilly milk cooling the water maximum appropriate down interior of a minute.

You don't need to mix it with hot water. Just mix it with any temp. As for those bottles, I read that they are bad with a chemical that gets into the milk, so... we use Playtex Drop ins that have the plastic inserts.

I didn't know they even MADE glass baby bottles anymore. I have vague memories of my baby brother having those until he was old enough to smash them against the floor!

You want the milk to be warm to the inside of your wrist. {You've seen women dash a bit of milk on her wrist right? That's why.}

My child wouldn't drink cool milk, it had to be warm. In the middle of the night that means either mixing one from scratch, while she's screaming, or warming up one you made earlier.

You don't need to use hot water, you need to use warm water or room temperature, formula mixes fine in both.
