Actually getting diagnosed with PCOS was "good news" for us (after two years of TTC). At least we knew what was the main problem, so it could be addressed.

Took metformin (first line of treatment for PCOS), and conceived twice within a year after treatment. PCOS can be usually easily managed.

Good luck.

YES! YES! YES!

It IS possible to conceive with PCOS. I was diagnosed after my second child was born. My new doctor couldn't believe that no other doctor had realized that's what was wrong. And she couldn't believe that I'd easily conceived both of my children. She sent me directly to an endocrinologist. (I would recommend you find one right away) He explained everything to me! He changed my diet and put me on birth control to regulate my hormones (not for preventing pregnancy). Well long story short I am a mother of 3 now. He was definitely my miracle as they said don't expect any more babies... but he's here none the less!

There's always a way. There are plenty of medicines available for women with PCOS. The risk of infertility with PCOS is much higher if you're overweight (which is common among women with PCOS), so that's something you could watch out for if it applies to you. I have family members with PCOS.. one of whom got pregnant on her first try with no medicine.

Don't feel depressed - just keep healthy and active and if you're trying to conceive, speak to an endocrinologist or fertility doctor who can prescribe you some medicines.. especially if you have diabetes along with your PCOS (another common symptom of PCOS). Good luck to you.

Do not fret. I am getting ready to have baby number five in two and a half months and I was diagnosed with PCOS about three years ago. I had my other children all before I got my diagnosis. after I was diagnosed my doc put me on bc pills and glucophage, i started exercising and lost a few pounds and my health improved dramatically. find you a good ob gyn and change your frame of mind, you will be fine. good luck sweetie!!

Yes, you can still get pregnant. However, it may be more difficult for you to. My suggestion would be to get an OBGYN who is knowledgable about PCOS and pregnancy. He/she will probably put you on some medication to help you get it under control and get pregant. Good luck.
