That's perfectly normal to tell your children and sweet. What do see wrong with it? Plus, babies do sleep while in the womb. They can also cry, blink their eyes, move their limbs, suck their fingers or toes and respond when bright light is shone at the belly directly. When I was pregnant with my daughter the doctor used to have to zap my belly to get her lazy butt to move lol! She was the laziest baby while in my belly and I hardly ever felt her budge at all the whole nine months. You better believe I am going to tell her how calm she used to be once she is old enough to understand me! Now she is a wild and very energetic 2 year old.

i am currently pregnant with my 3rd and my 3 & 5 yr old always ask about baby, and i tell them the truth. We even take them to see the scans so they can see the baby on the screen. I also tell them about when they were babies etc.
There is nothing wrong with telling them the truth.

never lie to a child!tell them the truth, tell them how great it was to feel them kicking 4 the 1st time and the feeling of them moving around, kids love that stuff,my 8 year old was fascinated with my tummy popping out every time her brother kicked!but when i had her 2nd brother it was passe!
really involve them, kids are far more cuter than adults!!!!!!!!!

why not? Its not as if she is going into great detail about the mechanics of sex with them.
I think shes put it in a very nice way that children can have an answer without knowing too much of the details.

Of course it is, I think its lovely they want to know, and the docs do do that ya know.

I am curious though - what would you tell them if it was you?

Why wouldn't it be? They obviously know where babies come from and are interested in that part of their lives they can't remember. It's perfectly fine.

When a child asks a question, reply with truth and facts. You will be glad you did.

our health teacher always tells us parents shouldnt be afraid to tell their children the truth, he said you dont have to tell the in full detail. i agree with him you shouldnt have to lie to them, but you dont have to go into full detail with them either
