My period's typically come the last week of every month.
It did not come in November, but my tests were all negative.
What are the chances of conceiving even though I missed my period?
Should I just wait until after I have a period to try again?

I hear that bottle-feeding should cease when the child turns one year old.

What say you?

What are some good age appropriate toys for a two year old girl? We still have her stacking cups, stacking blocks, and stacking rings (she loves to stack!) as well as other toys for younger kids that she still loves to play with. She also loves puzzles and dolls, but I was wondering what else is good age appropriate toys besides books as she has a mountain of books.

Ok, i went to the dr. last wednesday. The doc had to do an u/s to hear baby's heartbeat (i have lots of scar tissue from previous surgeries that the doplar won't read through). Anywhos, baby is fine, kickin around like a black belt. The problem however was that she saw liquid on my cervix, which prompted the doc to take a peek at my cervix. She told me that my cervix is kind of opening, enough she can fit her whole index finger through. I have another appt on friday for her to check to see if we need to stitch it up. I was just wondering if there are any other women who went through or are going through the same thing, and could offer words of advice or how things might happen. Thanks a bunch, just getting all worried about it, don't want baby to fall out!!

Okay, I know they both test for different hormones. But I have read if you are far enough along that the OPK will detect pregnancy also. I tested it out, as I am about 19-20 DPO. I got a light line on the OPK (I have no HPT, so i just wanted to TRY). How would you read this as an HPT? Would it mean a positive HPT? Or does it just mean I'm not yet ready to ovulate, LOL. It all made sense while I was reading about them on peeonastick.com! But when I did the test myself I got so confused! LMAO. Thanks to anybody who gives REAL answers!

He will grab at his bottle now and hold it, but he won't hold onto it long when eating. He just can't seem to keep it held up to his mouth. What can I do to encourage him to hold it up? Or maybe the 8ounce bottle is too heavy?

he has been growing consistantly on the 50% percentile but this time he was on the 10th% percentile and the doctor mentioned that his growth had slowed down some. he was 7lbs 12oz and 19 inches at birth and is now 15lbs 6oz and 25inches. He barely gained a pound between his 4month checkup and this checkup. Hes still within the normal range but im concerned that his growth had slowed that much so quickly. The doctor didnt seem concerned about it at all.

Has this happened to you? Or am i making a mountain out of a molehill? Thanks!

I'm not pregnant - but hopefully sometime in the near future - and I didn't know if you could work out while pregnant [even in the first few months?] I work out at Curves, it's not high impact or anything - the hardest thing that I do is jog on the running blocks they have there - all weight machines don't have weights, they are air resistant.

We live in Omaha, and were suposed to be at the mall when it got shot up, but my 3 year old was fussing so we turned around and went home. She probably saved our lives. Well, my five year olds friends have been talking about it at school and my daughter is now coming home asking questions, like why is the flag half way up the pole, who died, what were there names. Why did this guy do this. and more.

I don't know how to explain it to her. We have been telling her we will discuss after your baby sister goes to bed. And forgetting to do it, or hoping she forgets, but she is not and I am not sure how to talk to her about it, but my husband said this morning we have to sit down tonight and talk about it with her.

How would you explain it.

I am 29 weeks pregnant with my first. I went to the doctor last Wednesday and she said that my blood pressure isn't high but it isn't as low as it should be. She told me that usually when patients start having an increase in their blood pressure that they deliver early. I am worried because my blood pressure has always been normal and I don't want to have a premature baby that could have problems. I know that babies can be born early and still be healthy but I wouldn't want to risk it. Has anyone ever been told that there was a problem with their blood pressure and then carried to term and had a healthy baby? Is there anything I can do to lower my blood pressure or is it just a crazy thing beyond my control due to pregnancy? Please share your experiences with blood pressure and pregnancy with me. Is it something that I am doing wrong?

My best friend's sister is having a baby boy in two months and was looking for unusual/unique baby names, and I suggested Adonis. Adonis was a Greek god who, according to mythology, was so incredibly beautiful that anyone who saw him instantly fell in love with him. I figured this would be an interesting name for a baby. She really wasn't sure, so what do you think? Would this be a good name for a boy? Any other suggestions?

I just found out I'm pregnant. My husband is delighted, and I am too, BUT there's one problem. I've put on about 25 extra pounds since we got married that I wanted to lose before we had children. I know the average expectant mother should gain extra weight. (obviously). I'm just wondering if it would be okay to try and tone up / drop some excess fat during the first trimester. I want what's best for my baby, and if it means packing on an extra 30 pounds to my 25 I needed to lose, then that's fine! (It would be nice to avoid becoming a blimp post-baby though!)

It all started a long time ago in April this year. Me and my friend started going out with him and his friend (her now current boyfriend) to get drunk! ..We would end up kissing and stuff but we have kinda got more intimate doing sexual things lately ..(yes we have even gone all the way but we aren’t going out!) I really like him enough to go out with him.. he makes me laugh as well as being gorgeous :P ..but he’s the one that wont go out with me because in September he joined army college, he has to stay there 3 years & can only come out on the occasional weekend. He said that he cant trust girls while hes in the army because most of them end up cheating and thats why he wont have a relationship. I wouldn’t cheat but I respect his wishes.. I treat him kindly and with respect yet he makes me look stupid all the time. He sees other girls, he knows I know he sees other girls but I can’t say anything to him because hes not my boyfriend. All I could do is stop seeing him but I cant!

I am scared to ask this after seeing others get yelled at but....

my daughter is 3 months old. she is on nutramigen (unable to breast feed and had severe colic in her early weeks) and here for the past week has been eating every 2 hours (instead of every 3-4) 5-6oz nutramigen. I gave her 2 teaspoons rice cereal mixed w/ 4 oz formula saturday night, she drank it and slept for 7 hours... Last night (sunday) she had a bottle @ 6 pm (5 1/2 oz) and was screaming a little before 8. I gave her the same amount of cereal as the night before and she fell asleep as soon as the bottle was done. I really think this is making her feel full and content. I called the Dr. today to ask but I really think that she is just hungry! She is 16lbs and already sitting w/ no head support, little body support....I am NOT doing this for my own convienience of having her sleep...it literally has made her seem like she is not starving and she is happy...
