I am responsible for buying girls gifts for a Christmas party and have no idea what to buy!! I don’t have a daughter or any nieces to ask. What are you buying for your daughter? What is she interested in? I believe the limit is somewhere between $10-$15 per gift. Please give me some ideas and what ages they are for. Thanks!!

Ok. I had a m/c at 13 weeks in July of this year with an emergancy D&C. I really want another baby and have tried for the last 3 months to get pregnant. It doesn't help that my periods are always late now since the prengancy, and every month I think theres a possibility that I am prego because it gets later everytime. (this past time was 2 weeks late). I just need some encouaging words because I feel like I'm loosing my mind here already.

I am 23 years old, helthy and so isnt my partner. I had blood work done to check for down syndrome and everything came back fine. I have been for 3 level 2 ultra sounds now and they advised me to have a amniosintesis. I had that done yesterday, I am terrified to find out the results. I never thought of having any complications although it happens. They are ruling out if the baby has down syndrome or if its just premi. Any advice? What do u think my chances are? I dont know much about this stuff.

If another person's child was out of control, would you step in and discipline him? Or look the other way? Some feel it's not their right to intervene, while others believe it is sometimes necessary to reprimand an unruly child. What do you think?

My daughter is 21months old, and is absolutely in love with the christmas tree, but she is having a tough time NOT touching and pulling everything off the tree.

I CAN'T put a fence around the tree. I CAN'T block off the entire room. Any other suggestions?

Thanks!

First off, I'm completely for giving your child whatever name you want, it is after all your child. Secondly I want to say, I'm very into unique and unusual names. With that said, I have to ask why people insist on giving their children familiar or even traditional names and them completely misspelling them? Jennifer spelled Jynepher does not constitue unique, it makes it cumbersome and frankly ugly. Sarah or Sara at least = similar sounds, Syra or Syrah aren't even close. Don't you think it would be more bennificial to your child to give them a unique name which can be pronounced according to the rules of the English language, as opposed to taking a common or traditional name and rearranging the vowels?

How much money do you spend on your children at christmas. And how much do you think is enough. I normally go way over the top when i shouldnt. This year ive decided that i'll spend £250 on each child.

To see these parents lugging around £100s worth of plastic junk for their kiddies' Christmas presents?

Where do they get the money from?

I went into the Disney Store on Sunday to get a gift for my son's 1st birthday and I couldn't beleive how many people were in there, literally staggering around laden down with £500+ of crap, plus little darlings hanging on their arms squeaking: "Mummy I want I want I want"

Thank God my son is not old enough to do that!

I would never be able to afford to spend that much on him and tbh I don't know if I would even if I could. Surely kids don't appreciate all that junk and half of it ends up in the bin within a couple of months anyway! I'd hate the thought of my son growing up with no respect for the value of money and being so greedy!

Why do people equate spending lots of money with good parenting?

Hi all, I am 5 months pregnant now and as usual I am dying to know my baby's gender but when I went for my USG they could not certainly tell me as the baby positioned itself in such a way that they said its "SHY"!!!
could anyone tell me any other process by which i can determine as to what am i having as i really wanna go shopping now! The sale and all is on!!
Could anyone also tell me how many times more will they go for USG as they said if I ask them to do it again...and there is no medical necessity for it so it won't be covered by my insurance! Any advice??

My fiance and I have been together for quite a while. We were using condoms for a while until we pushed other situations out of the way that gave us the decision not to use them anymore. Nothing bad. He's mentioned to me he doesn't want more kiddos (he's already got a 12 year old son) and I wouldn't mind kids, and even if we don't have one I'm still content. My point is he doesn't want me on birth control of any kind yet we're on the "pull and pray" method. He's said if I get prego then we'll be responsible and be parents. He's not too worried about things but I'm curiuos what the hell is going through his head and why a man would not want his girl on b/c if he doesn't want more kids. Sure I understand feeling and all but still. Need a lil' advice / help on this.

Your thoughts. Just wondering. My Dad and Mom are wanting to take our 6 yr old son and 4 year old daughter one state away (driving) for my Dad's school reunion this next May. I think it will be fine but I know my husband probably won't so I need to prepare to break it to him ahead of time. Plus, we could use the time alone together. The kids are really close to their grandparents so I think they'd be fine and have fun too. What do you think?
