I am 7 months pregnant and my husband and I really like the name Zoey for our child. Recently one of my friends said that Zoey was a dog's name. We really like the name but would never want her to be teased because she has a dog's name. Please tell me what you think!

She eats at daycare I think because all her little friend are at the roundtable so it's more fun. At home, I can only get her to eat pizza and chicken nuggets. Maybe some fruit like bananas, apples, mandarin oranges, peaches. She won't TOUCH veggies.

What to do? She can't eat pizza everday!

My son is 7 years old, he is bright and thoughtful and sensitive. He had a pretty tough first 3 years. His bilogical father was abusive to me and then at the end twords him. His biological father always favored his younger brother because he was more of a man's boy. My 7 year old has been adopted ( as has his brother) by my husband and does not even know his biological dad, but he mainly grew up with me as his only role model as my husband is in the army and has been deployed 2 times in the 3 years we have been married. My seven year old loves dolls, the color pink and for Christmas, he is asking Santa for a tea set. I see no problem with this what so ever. I have twin daughters and a two year old and he is very "mothering" twords them and so very sensitive. He hates sports, despises getting dirty and gets hurt and cries at the drop of a hat. Again this all does not worry me. To me every child is different and I love that he is so sensitive. additional details below...

Get on his knees and beg for your forgiveness?
Kiss your feet in public?
Spanking and corner time kneeling on peas or rice?
Or smth another?

I had my first Post Partum Period in August, when my DD was 6 months old. I went to the gyno and started the mini-pill in September. I had 4 periods after that, and they were 2 weeks apart and weird bleeding, sort of light. Now it's been a little over 4 weeks since I've had one and I'm psyching myself out about it. It would be an absolute act of God if I were pregnant - because I'm breastfeeding, take the mini-pill almost perfectly (have maybe been a couple hours late 3 times) and my boyfriend and I use a condom EVERY time. I can't be pregnant. I also took a HPT 2 days ago and it was negative, but I'm almost 2 weeks late. Is it true that you can have a post partum period and then not have one for a few months? I've heard that somewhere. Or that it could just take a while for it to regulate? Thanks in advance for any advice or comfort you can offer on the matter!! ha ha

their dad and the rest of family. Bad weater bad traffic. 1 hour commute & the father was not going to bring them back so the kids asked if i could wait for them to bring them back. I agreed. This year I do not want to do this. Kids are 18-14 years old. How should i negotiate or just tell them straight out I cant. Dad is not able to bring them back .

A friend of mine is four months pregnant and has been having severe abdominal pain. She went to the doctor, and they ran an ultrasound and a few tests. The baby is fine, and she is not miscarrying. So, what could this be?

Everytime I see people asking about unique baby names, their answers are incredibly rude more often than not.
Anyone who actually happens to like the name gets a bunch of thumbs down, and the asker gets tons of responses of, "How about Ashley?" or "I like John instead."

What is this!? As a huge fan of unique names myself, what is it with people that they want to name every kid in the world John? I don't get what's wrong with uniqueness.

Also, they get tons of answers saying "kids are cruel."
Well, I don't know where you grew up, but I have never in my life heard anyone get made fun of for their name.

Somewhat unrelated, but it's a huge pet peeve of mine on here that people offer suggestions for baby names that are complete opposites of what the asker is looking for.

I just don't get it. It's called variety. No need to stick to names that are 500 years old. How do you think those names ever came about? People made them up. It's like the circle of life for names.

I had my first ultrasound done the other day and I am 4 1/2 months pregnant and my doctor told me they found what is called EIF (echogenic Intracardiac Focus) which is a small spot on the babies heart and the doctor said that most of the time it is nothing and there are rare cases it can be a sign of chromasome issue and can be downsyndrome, has anyone had this before and ended up being nothing?

I've started making my own baby food, but recently saw a container of Organic Banana stage 2 food by Gerber at a friend's house. It says that it has no preservatives, but also says that it can last several months on the shelf. After making my own baby food, I know that they spoil after sitting out and only last about a month in the freezer. How can Gerber have such a long shelf life without preservatives? I'm just curious.

Okay...during fertile week, hubby is having a difficult time "performing" every day for a week straight without a "break." He's been working strenuous hours, and the stress of it zaps him of energy. The maximum he can perform back to back is (3) days....I'm afraid I'm missing opportunistic time! I'm amazed at those of you who say you've been "doing it" everyday for a month, or 2 weeks straight...Wow! We both are ready to start our family, and are in our 3rd month of trying. I won't lie that I wasn't dissappointed that we couldn't make the best of this past fertile week, from Thurs-Tues, chances of ovulation probably on Mon; we had intercourse on Fri and Sat. We'll see what happens...but I'm prepping for next month just in case! What can I do to get hubby physically "ready" during babymaking time? I feel like I am the only one experiencing this! We're young and energetic, this shouldn't be the problem!

hey there, im the father of a beautiful baby girl. she is my life! i understand the constant worry of making sure she gets the best and is never hurt. and because of this i was thinking the other night and this is the most difficult question i have ever asked myself.

If you were told when your child was born that they could only read one book in their entire life what book would it be?? would you choose an informative book to teach your child about the world? or would you choose a fairytale to give your child sweet dreams? would it be a love story to help his/her heart grow? a comedic book just to make your child smile? an adventure story to give them ambition to explore? or educational book to expand their minds?

i have sat for days thinking about this. what are your comments and what would your choise be (if you can make a choise) id love to hear your comments

He was taken to the Dr yesterday & diagnosed w/ a virus and we were told to treat the symptoms----Tylenol for the fever & Robitussin for the cough.

During the day, he is fine. Feels great, no fever. At night, it's a totally different story.

Last night, his fever spiked to 104.2' around 12:30am. We gave him a lukewarm bath (which he screamed bloody murder about), Tylenol and a popsicle. His fever dropped but never dipped below 102'.

At 5am this morning, his fever was up to 102.4'.

Honestly, I'd be happy to just get his temp down to about 100' or so. I am tapped out of ideas.

Help!
