Okay...during fertile week, hubby is having a difficult time "performing" every day for a week straight without a "break." He's been working strenuous hours, and the stress of it zaps him of energy. The maximum he can perform back to back is (3) days....I'm afraid I'm missing opportunistic time! I'm amazed at those of you who say you've been "doing it" everyday for a month, or 2 weeks straight...Wow! We both are ready to start our family, and are in our 3rd month of trying. I won't lie that I wasn't dissappointed that we couldn't make the best of this past fertile week, from Thurs-Tues, chances of ovulation probably on Mon; we had intercourse on Fri and Sat. We'll see what happens...but I'm prepping for next month just in case! What can I do to get hubby physically "ready" during babymaking time? I feel like I am the only one experiencing this! We're young and energetic, this shouldn't be the problem!

My husband, said before, you need to let him know you are having sex because you love him. Not on pure fact of getting preggo.
try to make some games up, do it in the house, anywhere you have not had sex before.
Go for a drive, have sex, Don't just lie back and have sex.
you need to make him think it is because you love him, don't tell him it is your fertile time. It is not sexy, then they think you just what to have sex to get preggo.
I wish you good luck!

The most fertile day is the day of ovulation. The day you ovulate, your body releases the egg. The egg lives a maxium of 24 hours. However, since sperm can live in fertile cervical mucus for up to five days (but most live 3) you consider the 3-4 days leading up to ovulation as your fertile phase. So, your fertile phase is the 3-4 days before ovulation and the day you ovulate.
In order to maximize your chances of getting pregnant, you would have sex every 24 hours during this time. Unless you think your husband has low sperm count, then you would have sex every other day during your fertile phase. (or if he's just tired)
Do your husband and yourself a huge favor and start charting your waking temperature. It is the only way to know for sure when you ovulate. This way you can time the sex perfectly and not have to have sex extra days.
In order to know when you ovulate and when you are in your fertile phase, chart your waking temperature and observe your cervical mucus. Read the book: Taking Charge of Your Fertility by Toni Weschler. The book explains your cycle, charting and how to get pregnant. Check out the website: http://www.fertilityfriend.com/ Buy a basal thermometer at the drug store. Start charting your waking temperatures so that you can get an accurate picture of what is happening in your cycles. This information can aid you in having sex at the correct time.
Some other tips:
-When having baby sex, do not use lube (KY Jelly, astroglide, etc) it renders sperm immobile. If you want to use lube, use preseed. (Preseed promotes a sperm friendly atmosphere. You insert it 10 minutes prior to having sex.) http://www.preseed.com/
-Do not douche or use scented tampons. They alter the acidity of the vagina.
-Do not have oral sex when you are having baby sex. Saliva can kill sperm.
-Have sex in the missionary position. This allows for the deepest penetration and will deposit the sperm closest to the cervix.
-After sex, stay laying down with your pelvis slightly elevated/tilted for 15 minutes.

You're not fertile for a week. You're fertile for 24-36 hours. The egg is released and its only viable for that long. Sperm live in your body for around 3 days, usually longer.
Its not a good idea to have sex every day, his testes take around 3 days to replenish his sperm count completely- thats why doctors tell you to have sex every OTHER day, not every day.
Find out what day your ovulating by using test strips, and then have sex the day before and the day after your LH surge, thats plenty of sex to get you pregnant.

Everyday actually decreases a mans sperm count and there is no need to do it every day seeing as how sperm can stay alive for 48 hours inside of you!
Every other day is better and i'm sure he can handle that!

Viagra?
Am having opp prob - hubby has to hang on in there to store up for IVF sample! He's furious! He has to contain himself for a week! (I have to laugh - if that's his only discomfort compared to I don't know how many injections, scans, hormones, operations etc etc)
