1. Describe the events leading up to the delivery.
a. Did you participation in childbirth classes?
b. Did you give up any habits during your pregnancy?
c. Did you change your diet or excercise habits in any way?

2. Describe the events during the delivery:
a. Where did the delivery take place?
b. Was your due date accurate?
c. Describe the physical environment. How did you like or dislike about it?
d. did you get a doctor that you knew? How did you feel about it?
e. Who was present?
f. What role did the father or support person play?
g. was any medication used?
h. Did you have a vaginal or cesarean?

3. Describe the events following the delivery.
a. what was your intial reaction to the newborn? Boy or girl?
b. do you recall the Apgar score?
c. how soon were you able to hold the baby?
d. when did you name the child?
e. if you stayed in a hospital, describe your experience after the birth.

4. Describe the time since leaving the hospital?
a. how quickly did you adjust to life at home?
b. what kind of support did you home?
c. overall, was the birth experience as you expected it to be? Why or why not?

Okay so I have a baby boy (7 months) and am not planning on having any more just yet, however, when I was pregnant, I had a name picked out for a girl too... So, I am just curious as to what you all think:

My 3 week old son HATES sleeping in his bassinet. I usually end up co-sleeping with him because every time I put him down to sleep in his bassinet, he starts crying and throws a horrible fit. I already know all the tips to co-sleeping and practice them very thoroughly. I would really like to know how I can get my little one to like his bassinet. Does anyone have any tips or ideas?

I am a stay at home mommy of 2. I have a 21month old and an 8 month old. I don't have a lot of spare time & I usually don't eat anything until lunch time or later, because I'm so busy with the babies. I really want to loose 20lbs before Christmas. Any ideas to drop this weight quickly?

I am due for my period on Nov 7. we are TTC. but i notice that i have a zero dicharge since last few days which only happens when my period is a day to go.... is it a pregnancy symptom? or not....we tried sex last night but could not...because there is no dicharge...please advise.

would any one lower there selves to fool around with a younger man . who has children . and come straigh out once she cheated on her husband. and had children . and tell her children it. any real mom wouldnt where i come from but this one did. saying it was a axident. as what she did.honsley would any real mom tell them that . well she did and her husband filed for divorce . which i couldnt blame him only did that with her where i hated her. man and those streach marks very sicking and let her children know by her own mouth not much of a mom in.her.40.s now very sicking in all ways really

ok based on personal experince what brand of pregnancy test worked best for you? and did any of you have to test quite a few times before getting a postive? i am now late as of today but i have tons of symptoms { and have been pregnant before} and i test with the test brand "anwser" three days ago and i relize that might have been to early and it was negative. but i was just wondring about yall's expericnes!! it would help alot thank you!!

this month (october) I was supposed to have my period on the 12th and the latest on the 17th, well on the 12th all I got was spotting and it was barely enough to wear a panty liner, not even a pad and the spotting barely lasted for a hour at a time. and thats all I got, so I dont think that I really had my period, but I have taken like 5 preg tests and they all came out neg and I went to the doc a couple of days ago and that test came out neg and so did the blatter infection on the urinary trac infection, so does anyone have any idea of what it could be, and today I have been cramping really really bad and not around my ovaries but like down between my legs. I have also been having some dizzy spells. my doc told me that sometimes it could take up to 3 months before the urine will show that your preg, has anyone ever gone through this or can anyone help me

I'm more than likely going to choose adoption for my child (due in March) and have recent started to show. What do I say when people start asking me questions? I don't want to lie or act like I'm planning to parent but it's very uncomfortable when normally they are just trying to make conversation. I even have problems in how to respond to congratulations from anyone.

Also I'm concerned about what to do about extended family gatherings for holidays or birthdays. As an extended family we aren't very close so discussing this sort of situation can be very uncomfortable and embarrassing. Should I attend or opt out? If I go what do I say? This also includes my own birthday (my 23rd) close to Thanksgiving.

My husband and I have been ttc for a very long time and I think I might be pregnant. I am taking a test tomorrow. I am about 9 days late. I dont really have any symptoms other than tiredness and peeing all the time. I know what the most common symptoms are but have not really had any. I'm really interested in when women felt their babies move when pregnant with baby # 3 or more. My last 2 kids I felt at about 14 weeks. But, I'm 12 weeks and I know I've felt it a few times. I was wondering if most feel it earlier the more kids they've had.

I was just wondering, if it will harm my unborn child if I paint a bedroom in my home, as I am 37 weeks pregnant, I dont want to wait as I will be putting my home up for sale shortly after the baby arrives, and I just want to have everything in order before she gets here!!

okay.....im not sure what to do because this is happening to my friend, and she is afraid to ask her doctor!

well, she just turned 21 a couple of weeks ago, and hasnt really drank that much, but she did go out partying on her birthday and had a few drinks.
NOW, she just found out she is pregnant.....I think she is only about a month or so along, and she is really upset because if she knew she was preggers she would have never drank anything!!

SO, do you think that her drinking will effect the baby?

My child was arrested he is autistic he is 14ys old and is being dragged through the court systems being treated like a criminal he is mildly retarted and functions at a 2nd grade level . I am totally in the dark to know where to get help , if he is retarted and has autism and if the courts lawyers can subject him any further? also he is now in foster care .See if any one read a mothers poem of pain would know some of my anger and pain. Three of my children were taken away due to racial abuse at a school and it was in the news i protested and parked my van on the pavement to stop 6mo. of abuse i snapped when i found out my child was assaulted in the bathroom.No one would help thus1yr.in foster care my children home at last again turned into a nightmare when my child acted out sexually thus his arrest thus back to foster care but he was raped in foster care as well so I am going out my darn mind and need help with mental/ rights help?any site links would do thanks
