I have been really sick during my entire pregnancy & lost weight until I was 7 months along. The doctors told me that the baby will suck all of the nutrients & calories out of you that he/she needs, and you get whatever is left over. If you have been sick, it is even more important to take your prenatal vitamins & make sure you are getting enough calcium & folic acid everyday. Eat the foods you can keep down, and try to relax. You will give birth to a healthy normal sized baby.
Good luck!

I am 22 weeks 5 days and I have lost 30 pounds due to hyperemesis gravidum (severe morning sickness) and my little girl is just fine. The reason for this is because my baby takes the nutrients she needs out of my body whether I am able to hold anything down or not.
So your baby will be fine! It's hard on your body though-so if you get too bad you should go in and get rehydrated and get a vitamin bag (that's how I live through my pregnancies!).
Good luck to you =)

I had a girlfriend who was so sick during her whole pregnancy that she could barely coming into work, she looked white all the time and didn't start gaining weight until her last month. I'm not sure what the Dr.'s gave her for meds, but she still got sick. She gave birth to a beautiful, healthy baby girl. They say the sicker you are...the healthier the baby! But make sure to keep the Dr. informed and listen to what he/she says.

as long as the baby is growing it is OK-I started pregnancy at 52kg and ended at 36 week weighing 56kg!! I gave birth to a very healthy 7pound baby!! I was also quite sick throughout and critisied by others for not putting on enough weight but my doctor was unconcerned due to size of baby-remember every woman is dfferent and listen to your doctor not to everyone else around you!!
