I have a Ten year old daughter who just started 5th grade. It has been a big change for her. Lots of homework every night. I've noticed that she has become easily emotional and starting to spend lots of time in her room playing quietly and enjoying her private time. But are they normally very emotional at this age?

My 4yr old son was thrilled 2 weeks ago when he got to pick out his really cool turtle costume, but then daddy said he should be Bob The Builder and now ever since he has wanted to be Bob The Builder. I deperately looked all over for a Bob The Builder costume and they were all sold out. Now my son says he doesn't wanna go and i'm not sure if i should force him into it or just let him stay home. There are lots of things we don't like until we try them and this isn't his first Halloween either but he has never really liked Halloween ever. Would it be wrong of me to push him into going even though he doesn't like it and hope that with time he will like the idea?
It's all because last week my husband told him he should be Bob The Builder and thats all he thinks about and now my little guy doesn't like the turtle costume and doesn't want to go, what should i do?

We attend a learning hospital, so sometimes they do a lot of "extra", unnecessary things. His appointment was on Monday and they gave him 5 shots (Hep A, Varicella, Prevnar, MMR & flu), since we now have to go back in 30 days for the flu booster, we decided to wait on getting the blood drawn (that's a lot of needles poking my little guy in one day!) when we go back for the booster, after researching it a bit.

Doctor said they draw blood on all 12M olds to check counts and lead levels. Is this something new? I've never heard of such a thing.

OK, I have a 7year old son who was diagnosed with Asperger's syndrome last year and we are having some issues that I’m not sure how to handle. Around the end of August he started to freak out if I got out of the car to pump gas or leave the house to go next door and then it progressed into him freaking out if I left the house (unless it was for me to go to work) and then it progressed to school and recently he started when I leave even to go to work. I know that it's somewhat normal in younger children but I am stressed out. I have to literally drag him out of the car and into his classroom and sneak out of the house if I have to go to work.
I don't think it's an issue with bullying at school otherwise I think it would just be a "school thing" and the rest of the time would be OK. His doctor has been no help and we're working with the school and a psychologist with him but nothing is getting any better. Anyone have any advice? Suggestions? Information?

Heres my story: Earlier this year I became pregnant after trying for 2 years. The doctors office didnt want me to come in until 10 weeks. At 9.5 weeks, I began bleeding, ended up in the ER getting a D&C and it turned out to be a partial molar pregnancy. So it wasnt even a normal pregnancy to begin with. I had to wait 6 months before I could start trying and then I got pregnant the first month trying! This time, the doctor obviously has been keeping a close eye on me. So far, my hcg levels were going up exactly how they should, and I had a few u/s that ruled out another molar and ectopic, and at the 3rd u/s (7 weeks) we got to see AND hear the baby's heartbeat and it was at 138 bpm. I am now at 8 weeks, 5 days and I was starting to stop thinking about miscarriage but now its coming close to the time when I lost the first pregnancy so Im starting to think about it again, even though they were both very different pregnancies. Im not really sick but very tired. What are my chances?

My 4 yo nephew is completely refusing to wear his costume tonight but still wants to trick or treat. We are taking him no matter what. But does anyone know any tricks that might help him want to wear it so he won't be the only child not in costume. Its not a scary costume either, its a buzz light year that he picked out himself. Thanks.

My son is 3 months old. He has watery eyes, congestion, and a small fever.

Will the doctor actually give him medicine? Or, is it best to just give him the tylenol and motrin?

Okay... So I don't get my period due to birth control *use continuously due to endometriosis*, so I don't know when my last cycle would've been and when to test if I'm pregnant. I have used 3 pee on a stick pregnancy tests w/in the last week and a half *I didn't tell anyone that I did this, or thought I might be pregnant*, and they all came back neg. I'm testing cuz I'm really bloated, have gained weight, nausea, lightheaded, really tired, frequent urination, etc. My boyfriend is convinced that I am preggers b/c of my stomach (flat on top, bulge down by my uterus). Could I be pregnant enuf to show signs without having a positive at home urine test? I haven't gained any weight/changed body shape in the past 5 years, and now suddenly I have gained some weight and fat around my mid-section. Do you know anything else that would cause this sudden change in my body? P.S. we dont' use condoms, haven't the entire 5 years i've been on birth control, never been pregnant b4, this is a new guy tho

I am 34w and 1d, I was induced last pregnancy at 41w and 4d. This time, I was hoping to go into labor by myself. I have a Dr. Appt today for the issues I've been having. I just wonder if anyone knows whether these are reasons to induce early or not. I don't think any would harm the baby, just me.
1. Sciatic-hip pain, severe. To the point I need help walking and can't put weight on my right foot 3 times a week or so.
2. Can't sleep, even with unisom.
3. PUPPS rash
4. Nerve pain, feels like I'm getting a shot over and over again in my thigh.
Obviously they wouldn't induce now, it's too early. Anyone had these and been induced around 37/38 weeks?

Please no "go to the DOCTOR" remarks, I have an appt this afternoon, just hoping for some insight while I am sitting and waiting to go.

I am 17 years old, I already had a 1 year old baby. I believed that in spite of what happened to me, of how much hurt I felt, and how much I have hurt the ones who cares for me, still, I haven't changed. After I gave birth, still, I am the party-goer, a smoker, an irresponsible mom, a spoiled brat daughter, a lazy young girl who do nothing but self-centered business. Yes, I am aware of how bad I am, and I've always wanted to change but never It does happen to me.
My parents are the ones I hurt the most but then I am aware of how I talk **** them. The father of my baby, yes, We are still together in spite of what happened. But my parents have no idea about it. We always have sex even if we already had mistaken once, we are hard headed. Besides of wanting having sex with him, I'm scared of not having it, because he might long for it and have it done with other woman and eventually will leave me and our child.

Now tell me, HOW CAN I HELP MYSELF??? I really need strong advices...please.

There's a link on Yahoo's News page about a 17 month old boy that suffocated in a hot car while his mother was working inside Hooters. She claims she forgot to drop him off at the babysitter's and he was in the car for over seven hours..

How do you just forget?
