I was pregnant the next month! But everyone is different. We conceived our first child 5 months after getting off of the Depo shots, but we were lucky the second time around - only a few weeks after stopping the pills and we were pregnant!

I was on Alesse for 5 years...off for 2 years... we never really "tried" to get pregnant but never prevented it either, then I got an ovulation predictor and got pregnant that month! I am 30 weeks along, due in January with baby #1 - a girl.

Each person will be different, My little sister got pregnant from skipping a pill, My older sister took her almost 2 years- Took me about 4 months. Everyone is different and It could depend on how long you were on the pill! Good Luck to you!

The only reason I'm here is because way back in 1975, the doctor who told my mother that it would take a long time to get pregnant after coming off birth control was wrong. :) She got pregnant right away. :)

For some women, it happens the day they stop since the pills maintain the hormones. On average it can take up to 6 months.

But every woman is different. I have a friend who tried for 11 months before she got pregnant, and she's even fairly young.

I got off birth control about 4 months ago and we just started trying end of last month and it looks like I might just be pg. this month, have to wait a few more days.
