i think you already know that you asked this question already so that was pointless of the 2nd answer posted..
Anyways, you're still early and what you felt probaby was the baby but at your stage the baby moves a lot but you just dont' feel it.... i am 28 weeks pregnant and it was around 5 months that it was more of a constant thing to feel the baby.

Even though you don't go to the doctors untill the 9 you can still call and discuss it over the phone if it bothers you! 16 weeks is still early to fell the baby move, the average is 18 - 20 weeks! It could have been the baby that you felt and it may have changed positions so you can't feel it now! I'm pretty sure your okay! The pain you feel is normal your belly is growning!

It is unusual to feel movement at 16 weeks. You probably won't really feel anything until about 18 weeks, and not consistently until 20-22 weeks. Don't worry, the baby is very small and has lots of cushion. He/she is moving, you just can't feel it yet.

RELAX. I didn't feel the baby move until 22 weeks. Most women will not feel anything in their 16th week, especially if it's a first pregnancy. Trust me, you will think you feel the baby but when you actually feel him/her "for sure" it's like a light switch flicked on...you know FOR SURE, 100% that it's the baby.

16 weeks is still sorta early... what you were feeling could have been the early early baby flutter/movements. Baby is still tiny at 16 weeks.. lots of room in there to bounce/move around.
A lot of women say around 20+ weeks they feel baby move. With my son I didn't fully feel him until around 20 weeks. relax :)

It very well could have been gas.
But your baby is still very small, and he/she could have just switched positions. If he/she's kicking in, toward your spine, you might not feel it as much as when he/she's kicking out. Also, the placement of the placenta makes a difference.
This early in your pregnancy, I wouldn't worry about it. Certainly mention it to your doc, but don't let it keep you up at night.

Don't worry too much just call the doctor and ask for a call back from the doctor or a visit before your next appointment

I did not even feel mine move until after five months. I would not worry too much (even though it is hard when you are pregnant, I know) As they grow it can feel very different when they move, or maybe you have even been too busy to notice. Your baby might even be awake at night, and sleeping all day!

At this point it probably was gas. you won't feel much more then a really nervous feeling in your stomach right now. The baby is too little and she is swimming all over the place making you feel queasy.
