My daughter has found she is pregnant at 17...I did all that I could, she is a cheerleader, a senior in high school. I feel like a big failure!

What advice would you give a women who just recently married a guy almost 30 years older than her (she's in her mid '20's) and she just found out she's pregnant? Kids were not supposed to be the equation for either one of them. I';m not even 100% sure that he knows about it. I am a friend of the woman. I am against abortion, but I don't know what's in her best interests.

I think these are what we are going to use.

Katherine is pretty and saphisticated but can be shortend to kat, kate, katy, kathy. So even if it sounds old fashioned she can make it hip. Harper is Cute and my daughter loves it.

Henry is very strong. Greyson is cute and he could go by grey until he gets older if he wanted something short and less traditional, james is after my husband

How long should I wait for a teacher to reply to my emails? Email was listed as one of the best ways to contact her on the letter she sent home at beginning of the year. I have sent several emails that have gone unanswered. Up until this week they have either required no answer or not been important to class work( 1 was about upcoming class party, 1 about my son now walking to daycare from school instead of getting a ride) but now they are about problems my son is haveing w/ homework/reading that I believe are effecting his ability to do well in class. So how long should I wait before calling or going to the school to speak with her? I know she is busy but these are issues that need to be addressed before the school year progresses much further.

hi we have brought a pram with a carry cot, is it ok to use this instead of a moses basket/crib our daughter hated her crib so she went into cot when she was 3 months but i think it would be nice to get a moses basket but hubby thinks it ok to use carry cot for our baby boy when he is born. or can we put him straight into the cot?
just wondered what others think and their experiences


(we only had cot or crib for daughter as we had travel system for her)

I have 3 kids. A 10 y/o boy, a 9 y/o boy and a 7 y/o girl. They will not listen to anything that my husband or I say! They smart off to us and they beat the crap out of each other. We can't go out alone because they run off every babysitter we get. We can't go out as a family because of the way they act. We have tried EVERYTHING!!! We have grounded them, taken everything out of their rooms, made them sit on their beds, even spanked them. Even tried spending one on one time with each of them. Nothing works. I just can't take it any more. I am afraid of how they will be later in life if I can't get them under control now. Any advice or suggestions will be greatly appriecated.

My husband and i have a daughter named patricia maureen wells, she was named after her two grandmas. we tried for years for another baby and we are finally pregnant. Trisha is 16 years old and is just now getting a first sibling. We are not sure what to name this baby however, patricia has always hated her name because she says its sounds too old, i have a few from my husbands list a few from my daugters and a few from mine, please rate them on a scale of 1-10 and comment them.

I have a 20 month old son. It is just so convenient for me to bring him in the shower with me I bath myself while he plays in the tub and then I bath him. I remember my friend use to bath in the bath tub with her son but once he turned a year old she said he cannot see her naked any more because she didn't want to scar him. I was talking to another friend about this and she said she still will jump in the bath with her son who at the time was two and a half. I also babysat her son and would take him to the mall when I was pregnant so I would use the restroom in front of him his mother was aware I did this and had no problem with it. Of course, I wasn't fully nude and I tried to be discreet about it but I wasn't going to leave a 2 or 3 year old unattended while I peed. I am just curious about other people's opinion. What age should I stop being fully naked in front of my son and at what age should I stop being partially naked like going pee in the mall? Thank

Well i'm 36 weeks and would like to know what i should expect from here on out..A week ago i had to go into the hopstial cause i was having contractions and they gave me a shot to stop them because they werent strong enough and i wasnt dailted..I feel very anxious because i want to meet her so bad!!But scared of the labor..I've had brixton hicks about everyday for a couple mins at a time..and everyone tells me my tummy has dropped..I know its hard to say whats going to happen but i have a million and one things run threw my head..excited scared happy..i still have to get her room set up and i worry about things going good..and worry about having everything i need for her..just any incouraging words or advice would help Thank you everyone!
