It sounds more like a girl name to me because it ends with an a. Seems like it would be the girl variant of Luke, but I guess it could be either. Very unique name. :)

I think it sounds like a boy name but the spelling makes it look more feminine. Luca or Luka would be better for a boy.
Louka could be for a girl & would be really unique.

Louka sounds like a boy or girl. Though for a boy spell it like Louca, or Luka. Like Luke or Lucas. Girls: Louka, Loika, Loca, Luka.

Generally, in the latina tradition (where this name originates) a name with an A ending is female. And I have only ever heard this as a girls name. Also, it should be Luka. The way you have it spelled, be prepared for your child to be called, Lou(a said in loud), ka. Not a very pleasant sound at all

It sounds like a she-man's name to me. It sounds so much like Luke that I wanna think it's for a boy, but then the A at the end makes it sound more feminine. I don't know, it's kinda confusing.
