It has nothing to do with age. It has to do with marital status.

Sex brings with it the possibility of babies, so the man and woman must be married to insure that any possible offspring will have a stable, loving and financially secure home.

there is no normal age for sex there is a normal age where responsibilities set in. Sex is a huge responsibility. I saying there is more to sex than pleasure. I mean you have to worry about STD's AID's and pregnancy! all three of those take a lot of time and mental stability. The normal age is when you be able to take care of you're self and not just a baby or whatever

There is no normal age for having sex. It varies from person to person depending on what they believe. Some people decide not to have sex until they are married, whatever age that happens at. Others decide to have sex when they get into a serious relationship, and still others decide to have sex when their friends start just so they fit in. I know that a lot of teens are having sex these days because it's considered "normal" to have sex when in highschool. I personally believe you shouldnt have sex until you are ready to deal with whatever could happen....STD's, or pregnancy. But thats just how I feel;)

I don't think there is an age per se. Each person should look at their own life and decide whether they are mature and responsible enough to handle the consequences of sex. How much do you know about your partner? What do you know about STDs? Are you ready to raise a baby? Even protected sex is not fool proof (I know from experience). What does each party look to gain from the experience? Although too many kids are having sex way too young, there are just as many adults who shouldn't be having sex either.

There is no normal age. It's whenever the person feels mature enough to handle the potential emotional and physical consequences of sex. For some people it's earlier than others. But I personally don't believe most people under the age of 18 is emotionally mature enough to handle the responsibility that comes with adding sex to a relationship.

i agree with Mary Rose, and think that you should wait to have sex until you're married... I personally did not. I'm 20 and my fiance is 19 and we have an 8mo baby boy. He's healthy & perfect & i love him to death, but I hear all these stories of how kids as young as 13 yrs old are pregnant && asking what to do with the baby. A baby shouldn't be an accident. It should be planned and wanted. (And yes my son was)

There is no "normal" age. If you ask me, most people are doing it waaaay too young. You are not ready for sex until you are ready to handle the responsibility of pregnancy and STDs, because no matter what precautions you take, these are still possibilities. You also need to be mature enough to handle the emotional consequences of sex. I say everyone should get married first, but obviously no one's going to agree with me there.... so I just hope they wait until they can handle it.
