Pregnancy & Parenting - 29 September 2007

After having sexual intercourse, you realize that the comdom is broken....you rush into the restroom, urinate(go pee), and head directly into the shower. What are the chances that you will become pregnant?
Also, your period ended about 10 days ago, and you're on no other form of birth control......
Hopefully the chances are 1 in a million, but what do you think?
Please help!!!

She is three. She was such a wonderful girl today that I want to make tomorrow extra special for her. I am thinking maybe a picnic and roller skating - any other little ideas of fun things she would like? Balloon decorating, etc..I am just curious if maybe someone out there has a great idea I have not thought of.

Well...Im 15 years old and im 7 weeks pregnantt. I really do not no what to do!! my mum and dad said they will support me, and so did my boyfriend whos 17. I dont really want to have an abortion or give the baby up for adoption, but im really confussed!! And yes i will stay at school. My mum did say she can look after the baby while i go to school and stuff, but i do only go to school half a day anyway so...And me and my boyfriend have been together for about 1 year if that makes much of a diffrence! so Thats About It Really...

I am the adoptive mother of a 2yo boy from Ethiopia. I also have 2 bio kids, 5 and 7yo.

I would like ANY suggestions on how to help my son with the questions he has/will have. Be BRUTALLY honest.

Here is what we do now:

We have an open adoption and contact with my sons Ethiopian father and 4 siblings. His mother passed away.

We will visit every other year or every 3rd year as finances allow. In the meantime, we write frequently and send photos. We sponsor his 4 siblings (who are still with his father) so that they can attend school.

We have photos of my son with his father and us with his father hanging with all the other family photos. We also have a video message from him that our son watches whenever he wants.

I have kept a box with every single adoption related document I received, for my son whenever he is ready for it.

We have made friends with other Ethiopian adoptees and embraced his culture.

What else can I/should I be doing? What am I doing wrong?

to see how she was driving because she has recently got her drivers license and I wanted to see how she was driving. I followed her and she pulled up to an alley and I saw her having sex with a boy in our car. Hello All, I have posted here in the past and I must admit that I had gotten some really great support and answers, however here I am again with the same dillema. I just turned 4months with my baby boy..:) when I first learned that I was pregnant I was considering having an abortion. I decided to keep my baby. My problem is this I have been having ongoing problems with the father of my baby. He tells me that he wants the baby then as soon as he gets upset with me he tells me F*uck the baby and that he doesn't want it. which really hurts me because I want my son to know his father, and not only know him but have a good relationship with him. My baby father has a girlfriend, that I didn't know about until after I became pregnant, she keeps telling him not to come with me to my appointment, and he doesn't. My parents are telling me to not see him just to be done with him all together, I wish that it was that easy because I really want to..anyone with any suggestions on what I can do?

After I found out I was Having a girl, my husband and I picked the name Caileigh. Since then everyone has be trying to either get me to change the name or change the spelling to kaylee. I dont want to change it but Im beginning to really get sick of everyone bothering me about it. My mother has gone as far as putting me on the phone with total strangers and trying to have them convince me to change it. What can I do to get them to stop suggesting ways to change it and why I should change it, because asking just doesnt help.

My girlfriend dropped our infant son the other day. She said he was ok so we didn't take him to the doctor. Over the last couple of days I've been noticing that his eyes don't seem to focus or move together. My girlfriend says this is normal in infants and that I just never noticed it before. I'm pretty sure that his eyes worked in unison before the drop. Should I take him to a doctor or is this really normal?

In 2004, there were close to 140,000 children of varying ages in the United States, awaiting adoption. About 50,000 of these children were Black. Republicans oppose abortion. Many of them oppose Birth Control. Yet these unwanted children need homes.

While these American kids waited for new parents, more than 200,000 foreign children were adopted by U.S. citizens. These children were mostly babies, because adoptive parents usually want infants. These statistics do not include the number of children in foster care, who are not adoptive, since their parents have not signed the necessary papers and the courts have not removed parental rights.

Republicans always use adoption as a choice for a woman who is pregnant and unable to care for her child. Yet this child, if given up for adoption, may spend his or her formative years in foster care, with no chance of adoption.

Why don't more Republicans live up to their Pro Life arguments and adopt more unwanted children?
