Thanks so much. Everyone's answers have been so sweet and understanding. No,I'm not in love with her or anything. I have a life threatening disease and she has helped me through. If a baby makes it through and I become a mom it'll be because of her.(Not exactly pregnant yet..hopefully soon...)

Her name is Dawn and I was thinking of using it as a middle name.

I think it is great!!!
Kids always want to know how you came up with their name....maybe leave out some details that children may not need to know. But if they know that they were named after a person (other than family) who was very wonderful to you, I'm sure they would love that!!

You know, it doesn't really matter what anybody else thinks. Personally i think that is a wonderful idea and if it's special to you then go for it. FYI I think dawn is a pretty name:) any idea on the first name?

No. It's a tribute to someone that means a lot to you for your own reasons. Why should that be weird? Obviously this person did something to change your life, so naming your child after said person would be a very nice way to honor them.

Is the therapist someone you respect and admire? Someone you look up to or has changed your life for the better? I say go ahead!! It would be probably an honor to your therapist.

At least the name will have significance and meaning. It is a nice gesture to name your child after someone important to you.

NO, it's not weird. That person is special to you. It is a name you want to honor. And for a very good reason, I might add.

I don't like the idea of naming a baby after someone you know, including family members. Your baby is his/her own person, an individual and so he/she should have their own name.
Best wishes!

No. People name their kids after lots of different people that come into their lives. It's not weird.
