Pregnancy & Parenting - 24 July 2007

I am wondering how much of it is being 2 and if any of it I need to have some real concerns about. I need to start off w/ the fact that he is a very happy boy, loves to play, snuggle, laugh, etc., but at times he is very sensitive to loud noises, he also gets very angry. If he doesn't like something thats going on, he will slap or bite people(only those he is very close to, i.e. mom, dad, grandma). He gets very scared alot. He can be playing and will run to me as fast as he can go, as if he just saw a ghost. He bites his nails all of the time. He, especially at nap time, will wake up scared talking about the man in his room, like he had a bad dream. He also doesn't like it if there is alot of laughter, he will yell out "it is not funny" repeatedly. Please help.

My husband and I are talking about this issue, and we don't agree. Long story short: I was date raped, conceived a child, and the Sperm Donor split. My hubby & I had been best friends for 5 years. Friendship made way to a wonderful love. He married us when baby was 1.5 years old. Only papa she's ever known. Couldn't ask for a better man in our lives. He thinks we should eventually tell her. He says the person that tells the story, owns it. He think it could be a celebration for our family. I don't agree. I don't want to have to tell her details that could hurt her. I don't want her to wonder about Sperm Donor. Our family is great the way it is. What do you think?

My 6 month old daughter has eczema on her face. She cannot fall asleep because it itches and she tries to scratch it. Does anyone have any suggestions? I do not want to start giving her benedryl right now. We currently moisturize her skin with a eucerin plus olive oil cream.

Has anyone weened their babies off of formula early? I gave one of my twin daughters 2% (very little) and she loves it! How soon is to soon? I know you're not supposed to give milk to babies under 1 year of age but I have friends have done it. What do you all think? I was just thinking maybe a bottle or two a day and the rest of the bottles formula. They eat a good diet. Oh, my girls are just shy of 8months.

Ok, I got this guys phone number last sunday(the 15th) but didnt have the courage to call until Friday. We only could talk for a couple minutes though because he had to go so he told me to call him the next day (saturday) but I was babysitting the whole day so I couldnt. It happens like 3 nights a week.He sleeps on the ground next to her bed. When I spend the night now he knows not to come in, but is she just incouraging this behavior by allowing it on the other nights ? OR is this normal and I'm the odd one ?

How old was your child/children when they started kindergarten? I have registered my twins to start kindergarten next month. They will turn 5 years old on July 31. I have decided that maybe they should wait until next school year to start. If they start next year they will have just turned 6. Just getting come input!
