Yes. You are. Also pretty selfish. How about getting married first? Or getting a degree? Or getting a good job that can support your family? If you want to have a family you should do it responsibly. Too many idiots are running around having children and then not taking care of them. You must think it through and prepare for it first. A baby is not a kitten or hamster or something. It's a huge thing that will involve every aspect of your life. You will lose all your freedom. "Hey honey, you want to see a movie?"..."Oh, I'd love to but Jr has a fever" or there's no sitter or you can't afford a movie cause you didn't get a good JOB before you had the kid. You have to think it through. A lot. Kids are great when you are ready, but it's no picnic being a parent.

yes!! What are you so anxious to move on so quickly to have a child for? You have a good ten years of fun and growing and learning and traveling and enjoying yourselves and seeing the world and getting to know yourself and each other so much better and getting to spend more time by yourself and/or with each other and/or alone before you need to tie yourself down with kids. You have time. Once you have a child, yes, you will have someone to love and devote your life to and you will be amazed and awed by how wonderful parenting can be. But, it is also incredibly stressful and difficult and a giant committment and one that you will have no choice about after you've made the decision. Wait. Wanting to have a child and actually having a child are very different. I think you should stay in the "I want to have a child" phase for a lot longer before you move into the "I have a child" phase. That one lasts forever and there is no reason to give up your twenties as years of freedom in order to start now.

Yes. Wait until you're both done with college, have had a chance to travel and have fun with each other, get married, and then have a child. That's what I did and I have no regrets - I was 26 when I had my daughter and now I'm 29 and trying for my second. Good luck!

If I were you I would wait until you are out of college and are financially stable. It is hard enough raising kids but even harder to raise them when money is low.
