Hey Girl, my man and I have been using condoms for over 7 years now. I trust them whole heartedly. I hate taking the pill because I always forget, plus taking a pill in the morning doesn't seem like it can keep me from getting pregnant. I know that it can but I just cannot put that much faith into a pill. I just prefer condoms more. Good Luck Girl!

I believe in the use of condoms as a means of birth control and a prevention in the spread of STIs, but while using condoms I have also been taking the pill.

I think that condoms make the whole sex thing more intimate as well because there is no "mess" after the act.

I have used condoms and the pill for as long as I have been sexually active, I was actually on the pill before I was sexually active but my husband and I stopped using contraception mid last year so we could start a family and we were successful.

Condoms are not full proof, but if you used one, you should be fine.

I do not use condoms as a means of birth control, I'm on the pill. Statistically it's a better alternative. My husband and I only use condoms when I've missed several days and we've never had a problem.

I don't currently use condoms, but have in the past. I think that if you are not in a monogomous relationship and you are having sex with different partners, it is the only way to protect yourself. Even if your on the pill, you should still wear a condom if your just hooking up with someone and don't know for sure if they have any kind of STD including but not limited to aids. You asked for some fact, so I am including a link, I'm not sure what fact you are looking for, but here you go.

If used correctly condoms are 98% effective. I used condoms for 10 years and never got an STD or became pregnant. I am now married and expecting my first child which was planned. After this baby we are going to go back to using condoms. I believe in them.

I hate birth control pills it made me moody and have severe headaches, so my husband and I, ( we just got married) used a condom for 3 years before we were married and never had a slip up. I loved them. Thats a lot of condoms over the years!! On our honeymoon we stopped using them figuring it was safe now, and guess what, we are expecting our first little one in the fall. So I guess they are pretty reliable.

I believe that they say a condom (used properly) is 97% effective in preventing pregnancy which means you have a 3% chance of getting pregnant in a given year.

I would suggest using a low dose birth control pill too, if you are really concerned.

I don't like condoms and the latex isn't very comfortable, but I don't take birth control, either. SOMEHOW I have been able to not become pregnant just by my husband pulling out. Luck, I suppose, but he also has a very low sperm count and I have problems with my ovaries? So, who knows?
