About a year. I gave him a regular "mens" haircut, not the haircut you see on most little boys that leaves you wondering "is that a girl with a really short haircut or a boy that REALLY needs a haircut"

Not counting all the butchered trims we gave him, he was 16 months for his first cut. We took him to a special place that caters to kids and went the whole nine yards and had him sit in a car and watch a video while eating graham crackers. He does not like getting his hair cut so just getting any resemblence of a hair cut was nice although now he's 19 months and needs his bangs cut, arrgh.

My son is 2 and I still haven't cut his hair! I can't seem to part with those beautiful curls! It's not out of control yet, but I fear a haircut is in our near future.

My son was 14 months old. It took him that long to grow hair long enough to need cutting.
