im very scared i may end up having a c section because i was told i have a tilted uterus. a friend who also have this did have to have a c section as baby got into distress.
i know anything could happen but im just wondering if anyone has had this and given birth naturally with no difficulties. the feeling ive got is im going to either have to have a c section or if i do have it normally a lot can go wrong and its scary the life out of me. its my 1st im 23 and have a very low pain tolerance.
any advice??

Ok, I have to conduct the transfer of my step daughter to her mother every other weekend. My husband has primary custody. We have to meet half way between our homes in a parking lot as per her request. She has started dropping her off without shoes. (She is 4 by the way) Apparently, she does not want us to have the shoes she has bought for her for whatever reason. My husband and I disagree with this, we believe that shoes are basic and she should not be dropped off in a parking lot with bare feet. I suggested that we buy a pair of shoes and ask her to keep them in her car for transfers if she doesn't want us to have her shoes. Do you think we are over reacting to expect the child to have shoes on?

PS. I am asking this question for my husband, and because of the valuable resource we believe answers can be from others personal experience. Often I hear, "You are not her mom, you need to stay out of it." Please don't bother to answer if thats your outlook. I care about the child.

Lauren,Casey and I have been friend for over a decade and we're all in our late 20's.Casey and her husband have been trying for a baby for 7 years and tried everything including 6 cycles of IVF with no luck or resulting in miscarriages.Lauren and her husband have no kids and don't wish to have any at any time in the future as they feel they're not worth sacrificing their freedom and life of luxory for.Lauren has had 3 abortions prior to getting married and 2 following even though they've done everything short of a permanant solution to remain childless.Recently after Casey's latest pregnancy test Lauren and I tried to cheer her up.Lauren starting listing all the benefits of being childfree at which both Casey and I took offence as I have a 3 yr old son.Casey pretty much threw Lauren out telling her that a heartless ***** like her who'd abort 5 babies couldn't possibly understand what a miracle children are. They haven't spoken since. Can a difference of opinion such as this be overcome

Hi, I'm from foreign country, and I whimsically picked the name "KATY" because my given (foreign) name was so hard to pronounce. Now I'm going off to college and about to start a new life, and thinking of changing my name. I want a name more professional, strong and classy but not too feminine.

I plan to go to medical school and be a doctor one day.
also I don't really want to reveal my origin, but my last name is "Park" If it helps.

I was thinking Jacqueline, Katherine.....
so any advice??

I think I am more scared of an epidural than actually giving birth. Are there any of you who have had an epidural or other kind of drug to help them cope with the pains of labor and could you please describe your experience.

I read that an unborn baby can "taste" whatever Mom is eating and even develops taste preferences in the womb. How does that work exactly if the food goes directly to his/her stomach through the umbilical cord?

Antibiotics are not good for children as they effect their immunity suystems. So how could we build a better immunity system in 2-3 yrs children so that they do not suffer from common cold, fever, chest congestion like things. Are there some special diet that strengthen the systems so that the children get stronger later in their lives.

Do you sometimes catch yourself pushing really hard, shouting for a bit and sometimes taking a breather before pushing again?

Okay, ladies – I do appreciate the subtle differences in our unique product versus a human life. Yes I see that the toilet experience will not result in comparing which parent it looks like (although some ladies might) or registering the little critter into a nursery but there must be a similar sense of accomplishment and a certain rippling feeling of pride.

Is it like giving birth in some small way?

how and when is right time to take away the pacifer and bottle? He is already drinking out a sippy cup with water in it. i have tried to give him juice but he wont drink it in the sippy cup. He will drink juice from a regular cup. i think he looks at his sippy cup as for water only and his bottle is for his milk. He does not take a bottle before bed. He has his last bottle around 4pm and then he drinks some water with his dinner around 6:30 and then after his bath. When i have put milk in his cup he just takes little sips from it and throws it across the room. He only really takes the pacifer at his naps and bed time. His molars are coming in so he has these crying episodes and he will go get his pacifer when he needs it. i just dont want it to be a bad experience.

My kids are 8 and almost 3. I'm not the best at having fun with my kids, so I really need some help. I'm on leave from work, so I need some low cost ideas. Indoor and outdoor activities....it's 98 outside today, so we are definitely staying indoors.

Thanks
