Actually, you can. The hormones associated with nursing may keep you from ovulating and getting pregnant if:
• You're breastfeeding exclusively (meaning your baby isn't eating or drinking anything else — even water), including at least one nighttime feeding.
• Your baby is less than 6 months old; after this age she'll be eating solid foods, so you'll be breastfeeding her less.
• Your periods haven't started up yet.

in case you're transforming into pregnant collectively as breast feeding - it incredibly is incredibly ill stuff. perhaps in case you will have intercourse - you could placed the child down for a snooze. I advise come on - particular - a woman breast feeding slightly one is attractive - yet ... perhaps in basic terms wait a jiffy.

Dear friend, According to my birthing class, you can get pregnant while breast feeding. You can also get support and information at a pregnancy resource center, which you can find by googling optionline on the net, or call 1800afamily. Please take good care of yourself and your baby if you are pregnant. Sincerely, Runner

It is not true. Lots of women don't ovulate when they are breastfeeding so that is where that myth comes from. You will eventually ovulate though and you do not know that you ovulated until you get your period. So just because you aren't getting your period you may think that you are safe, but you can get pregnant the first time you ovulate after the baby. My mother breastfed and I have a sister who is 12 months younger than me. My mother never had her period after I was born until after my sister was born.

You are less likely to get pregnant while breastfeeding because your body produces a hormone that restricts ovulation. It still is possible to get pregnant while breastfeeding especially if it is only part time or you stop for more than 24 hours.

Not true, and I have the proof.
My sister's kids are 10 months apart, she was breastfeeding when she got pregnant with her second girl.

That is so not true!
Breast feeding has nothing to do with ovulating!

You don't really get your period when you breast feed. Some women do. I didn't get mine for four months!! You should talk to your doctor.

No. It is somewhat less likely yet can still happen. You will start ovulating again without warning.
