It is possible! Especially if she is young, her ovulation may not be entirely regular. Withdrawal method is NOT reliable, no matter what the person above me said... Men can ejaculate a small amount before actually reaching orgasm.

However, your partner may be late with her period because she is nervous about the thought of being pregnant! Many factors can lead to a late period.

Have her take a pregnancy test to know for sure.

A lot of people think that if a girl has sex during her period, she can't get pregnant. But it is possible for a girl to get pregnant while she is bleeding. This can happen for a couple of reasons:

Not all vaginal bleeding is the result of a menstrual period. Sometimes a girl will have a small amount of vaginal bleeding at the time of ovulation — the time when she is most fertile. During ovulation, an egg is released from one of the ovaries and travels down a fallopian tube to the uterus. It's common for girls who are ovulating to have some vaginal bleeding that can be mistaken for a period.

Sometimes ovulation can occur before the bleeding from a girl's period has stopped, or it may occur within a few days after her period is over. Sperm can fertilize an egg for several days after ejaculation. So in both cases, having sex before the period is finished can result in pregnancy.

Having unprotected sex at any time is very risky. Along with the chance of becoming pregnant, there is also the risk of getting a sexually transmitted disease (STD), such as chlamydia, genital warts, or HIV. The only surefire way to prevent pregnancy and STDs is abstinence. If you do have sex, use a condom every time to protect against STDs. And talk to your doctor about additional forms of contraception.

This is actually a very troublesome question. It's different for everybody, and different sources give out different information. For example, some people here have said pre-ejaculate has the same amount of sperm, if not more of, than regular ejaculation. However, there are also other sources that state the only sperm found in pre-ejaculate are those that were leftover from previous ejaculations, as pre-ejaculate is there to "clear the path" for the sperm. The chances are said to be slightly lower with pre-ejaculate, but take into consideration it only takes that ONE sperm to fertilize. It is estimated that pre-ejaculation contains approximately 300 000 sperm, while a normal ejaculation would rise up to the millions. Both of these numbers are still quite high, so it's best to just be careful. It has also been stated that most males cannot control or even feel when the pre-ejaculate is coming. It just oozes out, and if there was some leftover sperm in that ooze, then that's when one begins to worry. Some have also said that if you urinated prior to sexual intercourse or within 12 hrs. after your last ejaculation, the urine may "flush out" any leftover sperm, which would lower the number of sperm that was still left over in the urethra. Again, these estimations can be argued by others who claim that pre-ejaculate and normal ejaculation contain the same amount of sperm. To be safe, either do not engage in intercourse, or don't be silly and wrap your willy. It will save months of worrying on something you wish you didn't do. Trust me, I've been down this road, and it isn't great to worry about.

Any time you have sex it is possible. The withdrawal method is the most unreliable method of birth control. However during her period is usually not a fertile time, so the odds are she is not pregnant, but if you don't want her to get pregnant you really need to find a more reliable method of birth control. If not, you'll be constantly worried about this, or end up pregnant.

The pull out method means nothing it does not work and while it is unlikely to get pregnant while on your period it is still possible. Tell her to wait until her period is at least a week late and take a pregnancy test. If so you need to do some more research if you are going to be a father and you are young enough to thing the pull out method works.

Yes, it's possible. A woman can ovulate immediately after her period, and occasionally even DURING a period. YOu just never know. Withdrawal is a very poor contraception method as well. While it is unlikely a pregnancy would occur, it is technically possible.

I've always wondered that too, because I can never figure it out, but I'm here to prove it, so... However:

-sperm can live up to 5-7 days.
-a girl will release her unfertilized egg during her period, which can last anywhere from 2-7 days.
-withdrawal has a 27% success rate

withdrawal is dangerous in that when a man is close to orgasm he can still have sperm in his pre-***, even when he doesn't feel it coming yet. if she had just* started her period, even if the egg wasn't there at the time, that small chance of sperm could have survived that whole time to allow at least one to reach her egg. I dunno what the statistics are on withdrawal/period pregnancies, but there is a chance it could happen.

It is possible but unlikely and the withdrawal method doesn't always work Good luck.

yes it is possible. it's always possible using withdrawal method. i think the percentage is that is it only 15% effective. and while on her period, yes it is possible. If she is stressing out it could effect her period starting or not. Maybe if this is just a close call you should consider birth control, spermacide films or foam, sometihng besides just chance next time. If it's not a close call, well welcome to parenthood. :)
