It's a real name (Telly Sevalas from Kojak), but it's UGLY. It means Best and it's Greek. It's a form of Aristotle.

Joshua is good but Telly reminds me of Sesame Street. Wasn't there a character named Telly on it? I could handle the name if it were Joshua Telly, but not with Telly as the first name. Is there a name that Telly could be short for? It would be fine to use as a nickname.

Joshua Brown is great! Telly is a monster on Sesame Street! I would steer away from that name. It is also a nickname for T.V. in England.

FYI - Telly is short for Teller or Theodore. SO, maybe naming him one of those and nicknaming him Telly would be better : )
I like Joshua Theodore Brown or Theodore Joshua Brown
or Teller Joshua Brown or Joshua Teller Brown. My favorite is Joshua Teller Brown : )

Ohhhhh... a Halloween baby! Well, of course most babies do not arrive on the actual due date! Good luck and congrats!

How about Joshua Telly Brown?
When I hear Telly, the first thing I think of is Telly From Sesame Street, and kids are so cruel. Good luck and Congrats~

love Joshua but the first thing I thought of when seeing Telly was the Sesame Street character and the TeleTubbies. I personally tend to like different names but not way out there cause then the kids get made more fun of.

Telly like what they call a TV in Matilda? (My sisters just watched it in here while I was on the computer) No way. Thomas Joshua Brown? That would be nice.

I like the joshua brown part, but telly is my neighbors dogs name so I wouldn't really associate that name with a kid.

Hmm. Telly is definitly not a common name. I don't know..... it's okay I guess. But hey it's your baby! I like terrance. (like you TEAR a shirt and there are ANTS in your pants, I know that's a nice name but I don't know how to spell it so I wanted to make sure you knew the name I meant lol guess you could spell it tearants lol) I think he probably will go by a nickname if you name him telly. But hey we had a neighbor once and his name was like pumpernickel or something like that (it wasn't but it was very similar) and that's definitly a lot worse than telly.
