Pregnancy & Parenting - 3 June 2007

She seems to be a little late it everything compared to my other two children. My son walked at 14mos, but he's a boy and he was really big at that age. I know sometimes boys walk a little later than girls. My 2nd child (girl) walked right before her first birthday. Now, my 14 month old has taken steps but she just wants to crawl. In all honesty, I don't mind because I know she'll walk when she's ready. I just want to know if anybody else has had late walkers with no problems?

2 weeks ago i last some of my mucus plug it was a thick clear land also haven pain in my lower back and uterus so i went to see a Dr. he say he feel nothing but head and i was one cm so he put me on bedrest untill the nextweek vist. so this pass week my legs look like they gtting biger and biger and more put but this time like cramps so i go to the hosplita and they say i am one cm and 70% of one and send me home. so more mucus come out but thius time its claer,pink, bown looken so i go back the same thing one cm and 80% and more pain killers to help me sleep that the only thing i got out of it because i cant sleep. i am 39weeks i have 6more days to go and it look like he dont want to come i and i am tried going to the Dr so they can turn me back around

I've been feeling him since about 15.5 weeks on the inside, I'm 22 weeks now. When can I expect to feel him moving by placing my hand on my belly?

I have a birthing ball and have read that bouncing or squatting with it can help get baby to engage, now do you just put the ball on the floor and squat next to it or sit on it and bounce? I can;t believe I am asking this, I feel like a huge clod!

I am always burping, but not as big as I want... they feel like they're supposed to be HUGE burps, but they come out tiny leaving me feeling bloated. And these tiny burps come out about every 5 minutes.

Sound familiar to anyone?

So it took my husband and I literally YEARS to get pregnant with our first son, and then another 3 years to get pregnant with our youngest. We desperately want a little girl and have been trying for almost three years now and I have had two miscarriages in a row in the process. I had one two years ago at nine weeks along and another one just this week at five weeks along. My doctor is recommending checking my progesterone levels but my question is does anyone have any idea A) why does it take me so terribly long to get pregnant? B) Why did I go from having two problem free pregnancies to 2 consecutive miscarriages???
I am thinking of starting Ovulex, has this actually worked for anyone?? How long did it take to conceive? Serious answers only please!!!! Thanks. :)

I started having contractions about 5 days ago, I was 1cm dialated when they started, on the 3rd day of contractions I was 1 1/2cm. The contractions have since stopped completly. And the baby has stopped moving. It is very hard to feel him when he does move. I have had some bleeding and a lot of mucus. I know that is my mucus plug but it was a lot more blood than what my dr said their should be. My dr does not seem to care at all about how I am feeling. She was going to induce origionally but now has said no. What could the problem be and what can I do to get contractions started again? Or to get my water to break?

well one reasson i think i might be pregnant is because my belly is kinda hard and wheni am hungry it hurts but then wheni eat it still some times hurt whats up with that ? ok and my breast thats another story they just now started to hurt some but the main pain is in my nipples, and in the mornings when you normally have to go pee right i do really bad and it hurts some times because it feels like it is as full as it can be my blader i mean , what do you guys think ?

Ok..so in severaly groups Im in moms who don't breastfeed are looked down at or lectured to death!!! Im sick of this!!! If a mom can't or chooses not to for other reasons then why don't we all support each other!!!!!!!! I think that all moms should stick together, not against!!!! I am 35 weeks pregnant and recently I noticed an increase in my amount of vaginal discharge. They are usually slightly yellowish. Does this mean Iabour is coming? Is it possible to lose my mucous plug without realizing it? Because I have no idea how does the mucous plug looks like.

Just today when I went to take a shower I noticed I had a few visible veins on my breast. I've been having light cramping on and off for about 2 weeks. Around May 15, I had taken an hpt and was positive but the doctors urine/blood test were neg. I'm due for my period around the 15th but this is different, I'm getting a test for 4 days before my period but should I care for myself as I'm pregnant or what?

He wouldn't check last week. He hasn't even mentioned anything about stripping membranes, only that he may choose to induce at that point. Is this normal for a dr. to wait this long without saying anything? I had a late ultrasound last week and the baby was already 8.3 lbs. So I am a little confused as to why the delay.

large grocery bag of junk food. I told her stop sending this stuff home with my child we do not eat this type of stuff in my home-I understand thats her grandma but my child came home with a bag that contained (lg bag of funyuns, cheez-its, assorted bag of candy, sour cream and onion pringles, pack of oreo cookies) is all of this necessary. my child's grandmother continues to ignore me when i suggest she buy my daughter fruits (which my daughter absolutley loves) but she goes "well she kept putting stuff in the basket" and i tell her "she is a child and you are a adult, tell her no-this stuff isnt good for her" what is a more effective way to approach this?
