So it took my husband and I literally YEARS to get pregnant with our first son, and then another 3 years to get pregnant with our youngest. We desperately want a little girl and have been trying for almost three years now and I have had two miscarriages in a row in the process. I had one two years ago at nine weeks along and another one just this week at five weeks along. My doctor is recommending checking my progesterone levels but my question is does anyone have any idea A) why does it take me so terribly long to get pregnant? B) Why did I go from having two problem free pregnancies to 2 consecutive miscarriages???
I am thinking of starting Ovulex, has this actually worked for anyone?? How long did it take to conceive? Serious answers only please!!!! Thanks. :)

You might not be ovulating every month, which is why so long between pregnancies. Alot of miscarriages are unexplained. I've had a m/c at 11 weeks and my doc said it was due to a chromosome abnormality (that pretty much means that they don't have a clear answer) Your doc is right on checking your progesterone levels. I actually took Clomid to help me ovulate after my m/c was "finished". It worked that first try and i have a son out of it....Good luck

Take a little break, at least until the doctor gets your test results. Wait til you have more info, to avoid problems.
You could have any number of causes for your miscarraiges,or your difficulty conceiving.
I know somone who take fertility treatments every time [ four babies ] and someone who used it for only her fourth baby, and then had another, unplanned!
You could have another boy, you know.....

The most common cause of infertility and miscarriage is infection. See: http://www.drmirkin.com/women/W128.htm
