Well, I'm only 9 weeks so haven't had much time to get tired of it yet... but so far it's bloody wonderful!
Ok, so I've been sick since week 3, I'm so tired that when I get on the bus in the morning I fall asleep and wake to people staring at me, I need to pee every 10 minutes, my stomach is so bloated sometimes it sticks out and I look 6 months although I'm not actually showing yet, my boobs have already gone up a cup size (my fiance is delighted, but they're really sore so it's a case of look but don't touch!) and I keep having embarrassing wind and no dog to blame it on!!
Through all these pains and discomforts, there's a feeling of complete and utter joy. I haven't stopped smiling, people keep telling me how pretty I'm looking, I'm in the middle of the culimination of a 6 month project at work that by all rights should be a very stressfull time, but I'm kept calm and serene through the last couple of months.
Sure, there are many undesirable effects of pregnancy, and we need lots of love and support, but it's all going to be worth it in the end!

It depends on the trimester, and all women have different experiences. But in general, in the first, you feel nauseous, tired, a bit overwhelmed, sore breasts. In the second, you feel pretty good. Your belly shows, but it's not huge. You have more energy. You feel the baby kick very lightly. Sometimes you get pain in your sides from the ligaments that hold up your uterus. By the third trimester, your back hurts, your hips hurt, you have indigestion, the baby kicks hard enough to hurt, you can't sleep, you're extremely tired, you have to go to the bathroom a lot, you're hot all the time, and you feel like someone has sewn a full-sized watermelon into your abdomen and it's pushing all your other organs aside and pressing down unbearably on your pelvic floor. But it's all for a good cause, so you put up with it.

It is wonderful and horrible all at the same time. You start out feeling like you have the flu, and you are nervous and excited and can hardly sleep although you want to for 20 hours a day. Then you start to feel better but get a little bloated and you seem to lose your breath more often. Then the butterflies start, you feel the baby move like little butterflies in your tummy. Then the butterflies seem to become kittens bumping and thumping and you would swear there are 15+ babies in there. At that point, your stomach is in the way more than it has ever been, it feels like someone has stuck a basketball to your abdomen so bending over something or other movements are suddenly very weird feeling. Then the cute little thumpings become not quite so cute and start to hurt. In addition, the basketball that someone stuck to your abdomen starts to weigh a good 20lbs and impairs your ability to walk, take a deep breath, get up out of chairs and other weirdness. Now you have no room for your stomach and are instantly ravenously hungry. You just want to sleep but can't get comfortable. When you do get comfortable, you have to get up and pee since there is 20 lbs of wiggle sitting on your bladder. You get back into bed and now you can't get comfortable again. Your back, hips and abdomen start to cramp because they are stretched and burdened. You are sure you are losing your mind. One day, you are just minding your own business and your body just coups. Your back starts hurting differently than it has, your stomach hardens and you can't walk (painful or not, you cannot walk without your abdominal muscles cooperating). Then you go to the hospital and give birth. It is really cool, but it takes a big toll on the body. If you ever find yourself with a pregnant woman, BE EXTRA NICE.

On one hand it's horrible. On the other, it's absolutely amazing and wonderful. With both of my kids I was nauseated a lot...my son more than my daughter. I had back pain like I had never experienced before. I felt dizzy and scatterbrained all the time. Walking hurt my hips, legs and knees. Sitting too. And I couldn't lie down.
BUT...
The first time I felt my son move made everything all better. Hearing his heartbeat was a miracle. I would rub my belly and baby would kick me where my hand was. And when my husband rubbed my belly (and he talked to my belly too...funny daddy!) baby kicked him too. I intentionally cuddled up to him so that baby would boot him in the back! :) He really liked that.

This sounds crazy, but I was so excited to go into labour. It hurt like a sonofagun but I knew that I would soon be holding a sweet little girl (I didn't go into labour the first time). It sounds nuts, but the pain was sort of anticipatory...like the storm before the calm maybe?

I don't regret being pregnant. But I don't wish to be prenant ever, ever, ever again!

First there's the morning sickness and tiredness. Then the larger you get it's very uncomfortable. I couldn't hardly breathe laying down when I was pregnant with my twins. It's all worth it though, once it's over!!

Just think of having something the size of a watermelon in your abdomen rearranging your innards...Causing bloating, constipation, diarrhea, heartburn, nausea,, vomiting. It's a horrible experience.
