I have a birthing ball and have read that bouncing or squatting with it can help get baby to engage, now do you just put the ball on the floor and squat next to it or sit on it and bounce? I can;t believe I am asking this, I feel like a huge clod!

I can't resist pointing out that I don't get why they don't have handles. Of course you should bounce, just because it's _more fun_ that way.

Google "space hopper"...

Sit on it in the position of a sumo wrestler. It's very comfortable and good for stretching. You can bounce, too.

you can sit and bounce on it or you can sit on it and roll your hips in a circular motion or whatever is most comfortable. just make sure it is filled up with the correct amount of air, the last thing you want to do is fall or have too much air in it and it pop. i used one with both of my boys and it helped out alot. congrats and good luck!!!!

I think you sit, rock, roll or bounce. Try amazon.com books, they will have one on the subject and they sell used books for cheap. In the meantime, do what's comfortable and feels natural. Congratulations on your new arrival!

You sit on it and bounce lightly, not hard. Sometimes it helps, sometimes it doesn't though.

sit on it and bounce. also it is good for stretching your back, have someone help you, lay on it and slowly roll back, will do wonders for back pain.
