My 1st two were 18 months apart.....the 2nd and 3rd a year exactly the 3rd and 4th 16 months apart and the 4th and 5th will be 18 months apart. I don't reccomend having then THAT close for sanity and jealousy reasons, but sometimes nature has other plans. If I could choose the timing I'd go for about a 2 1/2 year difference because it's far enough apart, but still close enough for the siblings to be friends.

Our oldest was 2 years, 4 months when our second child was born. Our second child was 3 years, 2 months when our 3rd was born. Our 4th was born when our other children were 18, 15, and 12 years old! She was a big surprise, conceived when I had been taking birth control pills for 11 years.
