i only gained 2 pounds at my last prenatal visit,and the Dr. is like "Whats wrong only 2 pounds?" But that visit was about a month ago, i have a new one coming up on 3/3.

this is my first pregnancy, am due in 6 weeks, would like any ideas, advice, tips on how to prepare for the delivery, anything odd to expect that my ob/gyn isnt telling me..... and offcourse how to take care of my new born in the first week esp. the first night/day.

I moved in with my boyfriend and his 6yo son In October. And i need to know how to approach this. My BF seems a little lazy to me. He has job that gives him a lot of free time at home. But he doesn't send much of it interacting with his son. He will watch TV before sending time with his son. Few examples. He proud of the fact that his son is a independ child. But at six how independent can he be. I give him complete attention when helping him with his homework. My BF will watch TV and read the directions to his son. But still be more into the TV. At bedtime he wants tucked in. My BF response is not tonight. But he's only laying down hisself. Not like he is getting ready for work or really busy. And few other things that really get under my skin. How do I say the obvious without calling him a lazy *** or worse a Bad parent. I just feel at that age he a lot more attention.Because of things i have witnessed. Like still putting his shoes on the wrong foot. He pouts alot. And

can someone help me? i need to know how should one know when she is ovulating (apart from the 14 day rule) .we do not get ovulation testing kits here .so is there any method 2 know wen one is ovulating?i've heard that there occurs some temp changes during ovulation . is it an accurate test and how is it done
plz help we've been trying 2 concieve but no luck.

My son came home today from the hospital after having surgery for Pyloric stenosis. The nurse told me to feed him only a couple onces every 2 1/2 hours. I've already feed him 3 oz. But he is still hungry and wont sleep. Should i go up agian or what??

first time mom for only a week and 3 days im so overwelmed by my son he is great durning the day and most nights but he seems to fuss a lot at night. I love him and all but it just seems like i cry a lot when he cry's. Iv been crying seince I left the hospital with him becuase I felt like I was not giving him the best becuase he didn't take to nurseing. Know I seem to cry becuase I can't seem to figure it out what he needs to the very end when his crying gets loud. It seems like it hurts him to cry that loud and he gets the hiccups and gas when he crys that much and then he crys with the hiccups. I went to my doctors today and was giving a anti depressent so it wont turn into post martum but i sure wish it would take a week or two for the drug to work.

What does diaper rash look like? I don't think my son has ever had it. He is sometimes a little red in the fold of his fat rolls on his thighs. Is that diaper rash?

Am I supposed to apply diaper rash cream every day even if he doesn't have diaper rash? I was told I was supposed to, but I haven't.

i'm just curious to know if anyone here has had sex without protection and not get pregnant? or any stories you hear from friends b/c i'm worried about myself. i had unprotected with my bf for about 3 mins on and off and freaking myself out. he didn't ejaculate or nothing like that. when he took it out... his penis was dry

I am having trouble feeding my baby her milk. She has recently started to only drink 1 or 2 oz (bottle fed since 3 months) then starts to play. I have to shake a rattle to distract her so she finishes her feed (i try to get her to take 3-4oz per feed every 2-3 hours) but if I force her too much she starts to heave on the teat. She is otherwise healthy and growing well. It is just a pain because if she does not feed properly she gets hungry again in an hour. I even changed the teat to fast flowing and it made no difference. Has anyone else faced the same problem and any advice?

serious question. I am trying to put on a program that advocates abstinence. There are seriously way too many single teen mothers and sperm donors(but not fathers) in the world today. I'm not sure what we can do to help people teens make smart choices. MTV is far more powerful than I am.

So... i've had all kinds of symptoms of pregnancy.. change in sleeping patterns, nausea, headaches, fatigue, dizziness, and today i started getting really bad heartburn..etc.. thing is i got my period early by 4 days. it started on feb 10th. i took a blood test today at the doctor's but is it too soon to get accurate results??

here is my Q?? okay so i was starting my ovulation and had sex the time i should have today is my last day the ovulation day but the discharge they say is accompanied with it the eggwhite dischargew i didnt have is it possible to get pregnant before i felt the symptoms of ovulation as far as the discharge because i did get the abdominal pain or tightness???

My 4 month old daughter has a bald spot on the back of her head from rubbing and seems like starting to get a little flat on the left side of her head from sleeping. I put her to bed and try to reposition her for her head on the right side and check on her throughout the night but when I sleep I can't do anything about it. She also HATES tummy time and cries and this worries me because this will hinder her gross motor skills devlpment but she does spend plenty of time upright but how do I get her to enjoy tummy time because I think this will help with the flat spot.

I was told by my doctor on Wed 21st Feb that i was losing my baby. My B-Hcg level was 1700 on that day. Today on Tues 27th it is 7200. So by all accounts i have NOT lost my baby at all!!!!!Has anyone else had similar problems with doctors and what did you do about it?? I have no faith in my doctor now, and as i live in a small town, There are very few other doctors i can to during in my pregnancie. I am afraid that in my depression i have caused harm to my baby by not eating, smoking heavily and not taking my pre-natel. Thanks.

when i found out that im delayed for 5 days i buy preagnancy test and i test the result is positive, then after after 4 days i tested again and it comes negative, then after 10 days i tested again and the result is positive again but lighter line, then yesterday i tested again early in the morning and the result was negative again, im so confused to this matter, because im so scared to go to the doctor if im not sure if im preagnant or not. any 1 who can answer this because i dont know what to do now, thanks

After 2 years of marriage, me and my wife decided to go for a baby. So, we had sex without any "protection". Now, 2 weeks later, after much thought and consideration, we had a change of mind and decided not to have any baby as yet, because we are not very well to do, and should continue building up our family income first.

My wife period did not come (late for more than a week). We are unsure if she is pregnant. If she really is pregnant for 2 weeks, is there anyway to stop "the process"? Any pills of alternatives that we can take other than abortion to prevent pregnancy?

I am 27 weeks pregnant and have been seeing my OB on a regular basis and have been getting ultrasounds every month. The baby is very healthy, as am I.
Today, I was mopping the floor at work. My boss (who's also my mother-inlaw:)) found out that I mopped the floor and she told me not to do that again. She said that she heard from a friend of hers that mopping can be dangerous. She says that the motions of mopping can cause the baby to detach from uterus. Is this true?

BTW....I do have another OB appointment on Friday, and will bring this up to him, but I wanted to know what you all think of this matter.

I am gd boy now.I was spanked when I misbehaved and did sth wrong. For some serious situations or I still laughed when I was spanked,my mum would take my pants down to give anther spanking.Then I may ask to stay half naked for a while without my pants on.

At that moment, I was really shy to have punished in this way. I really want to have my pants on asap. Unfortunately, I needed to have my pants down even my neighbour came to my home. I think that my aunt may not notice that I was punished to have my pants down. However, her daughter(aged 3 that time and I was 9) must know that. I just wonder will she still remember I was punished in front of her as she is 19 now.

I have brown eyes and my husband has blue eyes ,our 5.5months old baby has hazel eyes, I guess its hazel ..Its brown in the middle and gray on the side and at night turns dark green..Both of my parents have brown eyes but my grandpa (Dad's side)have bright green blue eyes.
