ok, obviously men don't answer me! idiots. i'm asking if this is a sign of labor because of the sharp pains in my cervix and also if your breasts get extremely sore around labor? how hard was that?

Well what it sounds like to me, is that your cervix i dialating and becoming ephased.. I think I spelled that right, lol- Meaning its about that time, I think you really should go to the doctor mainly because you could be dialating without realizing it, my friend had no symptoms at all other than the "pain in her cervix" and when she got to the hospital she was 9cm - sooooo hurry up go have the baby, and about 24 hrs after he/she is born you'll know why your breast were so sore ;) Good Luck, and may you have a healthy happy baby!!!!!!!!!!!

You are probably growing extremely uncomfortable now, as baby’s feet extend into your ribs. The weight of your baby is taking a toll on your back, legs, and bladder. Swelling is a common occurrence in the 39th week, mostly in your extremities like ankles and feet and fingers and hands.

Your prenatal exams have increased to weekly. Each week, your doctor has been checking baby’s heartbeat, and will begin to do an internal exam to check effacement (when the cervix thins out) and dilation of the cervix. Your doctor will also want you to monitor your baby’s movements. Remember that your baby has run out of room, so movements will be small, but noticeable. If you notice a decrease in your baby’s movements, call your practitioner immediately.

Swollen or tender breasts is a pregnancy symptom which may begin as early as 1-2 weeks after conception. Women may notice changes in their breasts; they may be tender to the touch, sore, or swollen.

Cervix is more concerning than anything, it is the seal that holds the baby in, and if there is trouble there, you could miscarry. I would go get checked over to make sure you and baby are OK.

Breasts deserve mention while you are there.

your baby is settling in to the birth canal getting ready for labor, and your breasts are filling with milk. congratulations and lots of luck.
