What does diaper rash look like? I don't think my son has ever had it. He is sometimes a little red in the fold of his fat rolls on his thighs. Is that diaper rash?

Am I supposed to apply diaper rash cream every day even if he doesn't have diaper rash? I was told I was supposed to, but I haven't.

Diaper rash looks like a red rash with bumps that peels away the skin. You can use diaper rash creams but what clears it up is letting the baby's behind, and areas that have the rash get air. Your baby could be allergic to detergents, and soaps. Do you use baby detergents, and baby soap? Clean the baby's area and put the cream on it. don't put clothes on the area where the rash is it will only irritate the rash. Did your doctor tell you to keep cream on it? Is your baby's diaper too tight around the legs. Some diapers make a baby have a rash also. you may have to change brands. try it and see if the suggestions here work for you. good luck.

Hi my name is Courtney,18, and I have a 4 year old brother, and I just just wanted to let you know that the little red in the fold of his fat rolls on his thighs is diaper rash, and you are going to want to apply some diaper rash cream everyday, infact every time you change his diaper, I would suggest using Balmex, it worked for my brother so it should work for your kid too.

And yes you should apply it even if he does not have it, it will prevent him from getting it often (all the time).

Just thought I might help you a little bit.

Have a good day.

This maybe just a little diaper irritation. You can generally take a baby outside in the sun for about 5 minutes with a bare bottom just to let the air do its magic, or let him be in an area where he can potty and it doesn't wet carpet, etc.

I use Butt paste and it has a higher zinc than some of the other brands. I do not apply every day unless I see a little irritation.

it looks like sunburn. the skin just gets red and irritated looking. There usually aren't any bumps unless it goes untreated. I have two kids and I only used creme until the rash went away and they turned out just fine.

purchase senstive wipes, they have not have been given any alcohol in them, we had an analogous concern and the delicate wipes have been great! basically positioned slightly diaper rash cream on every time and ascertain you enable the backside air out slightly too.
