After 2 years of marriage, me and my wife decided to go for a baby. So, we had sex without any "protection". Now, 2 weeks later, after much thought and consideration, we had a change of mind and decided not to have any baby as yet, because we are not very well to do, and should continue building up our family income first.

My wife period did not come (late for more than a week). We are unsure if she is pregnant. If she really is pregnant for 2 weeks, is there anyway to stop "the process"? Any pills of alternatives that we can take other than abortion to prevent pregnancy?

NO there is no pill you can take for that...she needs to take a pregnancy test to find out if she is....and then needs to see a Dr. to start her prenatal care....Good Luck!

i am appauled. you can't just decide to have a baby then turn around and say no i was wrong. what about the child if she is pregnant. it didn't ask for that decision. this is the road you have gone down and you need to make the most of it. find out for sure if she is. from what i can work out you didn't have sex at the most opportune time anyway. if she has already missed her period and you say it was two weeks ago then there is a large chance that she is just stressing too much and may not be pregnant at all.

It is too late to take Plan B or the Morning after pill.

You should make a doctor's appointment asap. If you dont have insurance you can go to Planned Parenthood. They are very open minded and will discuss options with you.

One word of advice though, nobody ever feels ready to have a baby! Especially financially.

If you put off having a baby until you are more financially secure, you may never have a baby!!! When do you really have enough money to have children??

I have 4 children and if I had waited I still wouldn't have money for a baby, but, we are able to put food on the table, a roof over their heads, pay for excursions/camps, clothes and everything else growing children need.
