nothing to worry if urs and ur wife's blood groups are same.

but about consanguinity, u say she is ur blood relative. as genetic abnormalities are more likely to occur in couples having consanguinity history(related/blood related).

it is always better to go for a genetic counselling.

confirm tht everything is ok in ur gene compatibilty and thn only plan for a child.

Hello,
Now a day, there is not at all a problem with this situation.
I have a friend who is having same blood group as his wife.
They consulted the doctor (hematologist) and also a gynecologist, when his wife conceived.

There is a medicine (an injection probably) which the "would be mother" has to take periodically. As I remember, this medicine is to be consumed periodically in nine months.

So please consult a gynecologist or even a physician. He can guide you properly.

All the best.

Blood relatives are NOT supposed to be married...let alone have a child. It can cause all sorts of problems and deformities to the baby.

the only precaution i can give is dont try to have kids with blood relative, for one thing it is gross and for another the child will most definately be born retarded or with some type of birth defect

Blood relative, what brother, sister, cousin, second cousin. It depends how closely related you are. If your very closely related you should not be married let alone have a child.
