Pregnancy & Parenting - 26 February 2007

I know this is really a far out there question, but I was curious if anyone knows how it happens. With my first my water broke when I was about 8 or 9cm dialated. With my second he was apparently born in his bag of water...or I should say that they broke it after or as his head was delivered.

Does the bag become weak in a spot and just breaks spontaneously? Or is it a hormonal thing with the baby? Anyone know?

I hv seek advise wif frzs but saying is fine for bb to hv rashes. some says she is heaty just give water to cool her off. She seldom drink breast milk as well (maybe once a day with sucking 5 mins each side afraid she got jaundice as i eat alot of ginger and drink ginger water).

I had a test twice and it's positive on Thursday and had intercourse 4 days after, few hours llaterI had a spot. The blood is not really a lot but everytime i wipe it out then it there. It is not heavy YET. I was just wondering if its my last period or would be a miscarriage? I had my blood test on Friday and will get the result today. meanwhile I am just curious..

im on the jab after having a toddler and a 10 month old baby, very close together. last time i had my jab was 6 november last year and had an appt. for it to be done again 22 jan .

so i went back to the doctors 22 jan and they said that the doc had to rush out and was unable to do my jab that day- not even that week. i had to wait until 1 feb for the doc to do it again. i had it done that day but i feel i may be pregnant, as i had sex in between the dates.

I will take a test this week but if i was to be pregnant could i sue doctor for cancelling my appt and re- booking it for later date knowing the jab was to be re done??

i dont want another baby but certainly dont want abortion and dont like idea about adopt.

no silly answers- im serious

a friend of mine was moping her leminated flooring when she was heavily pregnant and all for a sudden she fell flat on her back side but then her waters broke as well which sent her to labour. Both mummy and baby are perfectly fine, what i am curious about is could her falling caused her waters to break? as she didnt bruis and she didnt fall too hard as she used her hands for support!

I am 39 wks preg with my second, but i am getting scared of moping my own flooring just in case i fall. xx

My son is almost 11 months and has been sleeping through the night since he was 3 weeks.. For the last week he's been waking up earlier and earlier in the morning.. This morning he was up at 5am... Anyone have any suggestions??
He goes to sleep at 8-8:30pm every night. I can't just leave him in his crib in the morning because he stands up and i'm nervous that he's going to fall back and hit his head on his crib.. HELP

well im 18 and i would really love to have a child with my fiance. we both would love to have one. hes getting his GED done so he can get a job and im going to continue school and get my license over the summer. but if im preg. then i cant have a job for too long. thats the only problem with that. yea i know that my parents are going to think im too young. concidering how im living with them for the time being. but i have wanted a child since i was 15. and ive finally found the man that i want to spend the rest of my life with. (btw, my finace is 17.)i just feel that if we stick together that we can make it through anything. i know that my friends will support my decision. but i dont think my family will. im going to be married by the time the baby comes anyhow. so it isnt like my fiance is going to up and leave me.
but my question to you is.... is 18 too young to have a child? and when did you or your wife have a baby...and what did others respond to it.

Some people take the responsibility of caring for another life way too lightly. Wouldn't it be great if there was some sort of reversable birth control that could be administered at birth then after the person turns 18 or 21 after passing a phsycological evaluation they would be ALLOWED to have children?

She was normal while the technician was measuring her but when she moved the screen towards us and pressed the scanner a bit against my stomach she started to kick with all its force.
is it normal for the baby to do so??? Was she scared ?Or is my baby going to be a real naughty and demanding one?

My husband wand I are TTC. My cycles are between 28-30 days long. My first cycle started Jan. 28th. I'm very sure I ovulated around the 9th, but we had sex the 7th and 8th. I had very sharp pains on my right side, like period pains but more "pinpoint" on the 14th. We also had sex that day. I took a test on the 17th, faint line; but I'm fairly sure it was an evaporation line. I kept having cramps, twinges and odd feelings in my uterus. Other than that, I didn't experience anything out of the ordinary. I took a test yesterday, when I expected my period and it was negative. But no period yet. No signs of it coming. Does anyone know what that pain could be? Is there pain with implantation? Could I have tested to early? (I have a 2 year old daughter, and when I found out with her I was laready 6 days late, and my test was faintly positive, not sure if this matters though) I have no more cramping or "symptoms."

Im almost 10 weeks pregnant and all weekend i've been experiencing strange flutterning feelings in my tummy, its been waking me up throught the night and the only way I can describe it is that little nerve that sometimes twitches in the corner of you eye, really quick! Surely its not my baby moving already!??

I am so upset. DD was starting to sleep thru the night after we did modified CIO and now she is waking 3-4 times a night again. We were just on vacation for a week and she was horrible with sleep. She may need to adjust, but I am sooo frustrated with sleep, the bottle, her not walking, everything. I know I may sound harsh but she has been a pain in the butt since birth. it took her 2 hours to go to bed last night. I really do think my child will be the one on the bottle in kindergarten. She is sooo stubborn. I don't know what to do. I know I should chill out but I have tried every suggestion for sleep and for the bottle. We put water in her bottle, she loved it. Any other suggestions. I just know the older they are the harder to get them off the bottle. The sleep thing is killing us. She is almost 15 months old. AHHHH!!! any advice would be great. thanks Debbie

Well, I'm moving from Taiwan to America in the beginning of summer(I'm not sure where, most likely California, though we might also go to New York or New Jersey) and it's been awhile since I've been there. I live in Boston until I was 7,then we moved to Montreal, Canada until 4th grade and THEN we moved to Taiwan until now, 8th grade(I'm 14!!!yay!) I'm going to an international school, and high school seems kinda....weird. I mean, it's mostly rich preppy people and there aren't alot of emos or goths or funny people, just preppy people. the high scoolers' s eyeliners seriously freak me out(their like 3 inches thick) and all of them are wearing Abercrombie(which is kinda weird since THERE AREN"T ANY ABERCROMBIE STORES IN TAIWAN???)

So i'm wondering what the high schools in America are like.
Some survival tips should b helpful!! For example, what clothes stores are good(nice, but not TOO expensive), and if being crazy about pet fish and predatory animals is really THAT weird:)
