a friend of mine was moping her leminated flooring when she was heavily pregnant and all for a sudden she fell flat on her back side but then her waters broke as well which sent her to labour. Both mummy and baby are perfectly fine, what i am curious about is could her falling caused her waters to break? as she didnt bruis and she didnt fall too hard as she used her hands for support!

I am 39 wks preg with my second, but i am getting scared of moping my own flooring just in case i fall. xx

Your pregnant, take it easy and get your man off his lazy **** to do the cleaning

it could be that her waters were at breaking point anyway, and this small fall was all that was needed to cause them to break. the other explanation was the shock of the fall caused an increase of adrenalin inside her body, which was passed onto the baby, bringing about an early labour. stressful / shocking incidents can do that. try not to worry about mopping your floor. just take it slowly, and try not to walk across the wet floor.

this is very common in women from about 28 weeks onwards. the membrane that holds the fluid there is very thin and having a fall can cause the membrane to rupture by either stretching as you fall or the shock of the fall breaking it. that's why when pregnant women have a car crash they are the first priority simply because of this problem.

The pressure of hitting the floor can cause the membrane to break

I think at your stage of pregnancy, you should get someone else to do the heavy housework. Put your feet up!

i think you fear is an excellent reason not to do any house work at all - write an instructions list and passs to partner or friend......... i felt like death by this point in my pregnancy and could barely make it out of bed!

Good Luck and best wishes and try not to call the new bab after a fruit! xx

take the battery out, if there is water interior the battery compartment, that's in all probability long previous. yet you're able to maintain it in case you permit it dry out for an afternoon. If it activates after letting it dry out, it must be good to maintain. in any different case, get a sparkling telephone.
