im on the jab after having a toddler and a 10 month old baby, very close together. last time i had my jab was 6 november last year and had an appt. for it to be done again 22 jan .

so i went back to the doctors 22 jan and they said that the doc had to rush out and was unable to do my jab that day- not even that week. i had to wait until 1 feb for the doc to do it again. i had it done that day but i feel i may be pregnant, as i had sex in between the dates.

I will take a test this week but if i was to be pregnant could i sue doctor for cancelling my appt and re- booking it for later date knowing the jab was to be re done??

i dont want another baby but certainly dont want abortion and dont like idea about adopt.

no silly answers- im serious

No - it was your responsibility to get the jab on time and not the doctors.

Also, you had the opportunity at the appointment to inform him of how late it was and you could have asked for advice then.

You have no grounds to sure.

Are you for real??

Your doctor didn't force you to have unprotected sex did he??! NO!

There are two people to blame if you are pregnant you and your partner. Already having two children so close together and not wanting more you should have been responsible enough to use another form of contraception.

People like you really annoy (and that's putting it nicely).

You are not the only patient he has. Have you ever stopped to think that the reason he had to rush off was because a small child was ill?? How would you feel if one of your children were ill and the Dr said to you 'oh I'm sorry I can't come and see your sick child I have a woman here who needs to have her jab as she isn't responsible enough to use any other form contraception and doesn't really want another baby!' ?

I am a nurse by the way!!!

no u cant sue the doctor. taking any form of contraceptive is ur responsibility. usually they give an appointment a week b4 u r actually due 2 have it again. there are alternatives frm the docs such as a family planning clinic at your local health center n most dont need an appointment. if you had sex during the time you think you were unprotected then thats your fault and you have to deal with the consequences.

I'm not sure what jab is, but I'm assuming it is birth control. The short answer here is no, you can't sue the doc. Sometimes emergencies arise in that sort of practice that have them cancelling appt's. Honestly, you should have know to use birth control during that time frame. So the fault of an unplanned pregnancy would be on you not him in the eyes of anyone. Take a test though and see, maybe you're just stressing.

You are responsible for your own contraceptives- you know that you were late in getting your contraceptive- so you should have waited to have sex- that child you are carrying now, is your responsibility as well. If you cannot raise this child, adoption is a great option- there are people like me that could have been a victim of abortion, but my birth mom chose life. Then my husband and I adopted 2 children. Their birth moms had 3 children prior to having them, and they chose life as well. No you cannot sue the dr. he had an emergency.
You could have held off having sex for just awhile if you did not want to have a child at this time- you are pregnant - now do what is best for that child. Parent or place for adoption.

Fair enough you didn't get the jab, but you didn't get pregnant because you didn't get the jab - you got pregnant cause you had unprotected sex.

Knowing that you didn't have that contraceptive jab, why did you not consider other methods of contraception - condoms being the easiest one?

People have got to take responsibility for their own self. Getting pregnant is between you and the man you had sex with. The GP giving out contraception is only one way of you not getting pregnant. There are many other ways.

I can't believe you would even ask that.

Obviously it's your fault. You said you already have a baby so I guess you DO know that unprotected sex can lead to a baby. I mean come on, it's not really that hard to use a condom and even if you are just too caught up in the moment there's now the morning after pill so there's no excuse, it's your fault.

I don’t want to sound mean but when you are asking if you can make money out of your own mistake it’s hard to be sympathetic.

I don't know what a jab is, but I'm assuming it's a form of birth control. No you can't sue your doctor, you if you didn't want to have antoher baby, you should have used protection or waited to have sex until you had the jab. Doctors, sometimes have to reschedule things...it happens.

You should have protected your self if you knew that you could have gotten pregnant. Condoms are every where and you don't need a doctor for that.
Lots of doctors have other emergencies that they have to deal with at times that doesn't give you an excuse.
When i was in labor with my son my doctor had to perform an emergency c-section on another patient even though i was dilated to a 10 for an hour before i could push i know that emergency was more important. Don't be selfish and don't put your blame on someone else.
A mother of two...you know the consequences!

no u cant sue the doctoru should have used a different form of contraception in between gettin ur jabs it is not doctors fault that he had an emergency. u cant blame the doctor for ur ****-up and y does the doctor have to do ur injection when i had my jab the nurse did mine.

No you cant sue for that. You are the one that had sex knowing that you hadnt gotten this done yet. So they would hold that over your head. If your pregnant, it was meant to be. Sure you have a couple of other children already but any baby is a blessing.
