There are many ways you can earn money. I babysit and I get paid very well. But I think you have to be 13-14 to start.
My Rates
1-2 kids ~ $5.00/hour
Each additional child ~ $1.25/hour
*When you are babysitting a baby under 10 months old, you should ask to be paid a bit more than your regular charge, since you must give more attention, change the baby, feed the baby, and put the baby to bed.
Another Idea is to have a bake sale/ lemonade stand. Me and my sisters baked all week, made poster signs and decided how much we should charge for each baking good. Any age is perfect for this job!
Another good job is to start a walking dogs for neighbors that have dogs. You can either put up posters around town, or hand out fliers to people you know that have dogs. I would charge 5 dollars per dog.
Another good job is to wash cars, or open a car wash buisness with friends for a few days, mow the lawn, and help people clean there house that might need help.
You could also work at fast food restaurtants, or grocery stores too

Well it is not legal to have a job till you are 15 in most states. You'll have to get a work permit from the school board. Unless you are doing small side jobs, like mowing grass and cleaning up yards or babysitting even. This is according to child labor laws. So you can call the school board and see what places will hire at age 15. Good luck.

ask at your local newsagents if they are looking for a paper boy although an afternoon paper round would be better than an early morning one before school. If you have no luck with that why not offer to wash cars for your family or friends mums and charge a small fee. Another option would be to help your mum around the house for some extra pocket money. good luck

Find out from the school counselor if you can get working papers. In the meantime, post a note on the local church bulletin board. If someone wants to hire you....make sure you take an adult with you for the first couple of days it will keep the creeps away. My kids got hired to help with inventory at a local bike store at that age....also planting flowers for one business. Often you have to know someone (ext family friends?). Dog sitting and babysitting are big for your age group.... take the local babysitter course and first aid courses....if you are interested in dog sitting check with your local vet to see if he can help you or has a course offering of what to do......there is also pet feeding (like when people go on vacation you and your folks might stop in twice a day to change water/food for a fee, again don't go to someone's house alone). Good Luck. The most important thing is the willingness to work. Have you asked your folks? I made a "dirty job jar". You might propose this. Its not self-care (like cleaning your room) and its not chores cause you all live together (like vacuuming) but those jobs that just need to get done that are not regular chores......each of mine were valued at $3-5 and it wound up to be quite beneficial to both of us. Propose the idea to your parents....my jobs included: washing the floormats and dashboard of car, car windows inside and out, porch mats and chairs, wash out garbage cans (yuck), put away all the boots from the boot trays and wash those down, sweep under them; vaccuum behind the heat ducts and vents, rearrange the junk drawer, hose down the driveway, ...... I am sure your parents can think of many more....
High school will start soon and your class load with increase....so will after school activities.....be sure to leave yourself enough time to keep up your grades! GOOD LUCK

go to your local independant retailer. they may be able to help you... giving you a saturday job, or even an evening job sweeping up or something... there are always jobs out there, so just ask! i have been working from when i was 14, and im not proud to admit i lied about my age to get my first job. (im not reccomending that)
failing that, you could do a paper round, as everyone has said, or even start your own business... go round your neighbours and ask if they want their cars washed... their washing hung out to dry etc... chores people dont like doing....and theyll probably take pity on you because of your age too.

I would recommend going to a grocery store and ask them if they would hire you as a bag boy. I have seen many people do that. Because of the Child Labor Law you can only work so many hours. Or you could do a paper route, or mow lawns. Hope this helps.

sadly, there is really only 1 option for you, and that is a paper round.
Because your under 16, companies cannot afford the insurance for anybody under that age!
But a paper round is quite a good job for a 14year old, exercise, fresh air and get to find out the news!
