Per my pediatrician -by two yrs of age, a child's eye color is pretty much determined.
It's too soon to tell at this point but I would say your baby's eyes will most likely be hazel. My sister and I both have green eyes (no brown) and have never had any brown in them.
Blue eyes at birth is the most common, but It's funny how different the shades of blue can be. My sister's child and my child were born two wks. apart. When they were next to each other as infants each had a different shade of blue eyes. My son's were a deep slate blue and my niece's were medium blue shade. She grew up to have green eyes and my son's are hazel.

Ya never know; heredity and babies are big mysteries. Some babies born with light colored eyes will darken or completely change in hue over the first year and a half of life. But, sometimes what ya see is what ya get. Yes, youre baby has hazel eyes, which are very tricky, because their dominant color seems to change, depending on clothing and weather.. I had hazel eyes until I was about 14!! Then they turned bright green. However, I have green eyes, my husband has hazel eyes, and our first son has nice warm brown eyes, while our second sons eyes are so dark brown, they are almost black, and our 10 month old has beautiful....BLUE eyes. Go figure, huh? Anythings possible. Your baby couldve gotten a recessive trait and inherited Great- Grandmas hazel eyes.

Brown and green eyes are the dominant gene, meaning the contain the genes for any color of eye. If in example you cross 2 brown eyed people the baby could be born w/brown, hazel, green or blue eyes. The same thing goes for green and hazel. Blue eyes are the recess-ant gene, meaning they only contain the blue colored gene. If you cross 2 blue eyed people it is genetically impossible to yield anything but a blue eyed baby. So because your husband has blue and you have brown, the baby could end up with ANY eye color. I would however guess that blue is pro-bally not going to be the child's color as they have already changed away from blue.

some thing is conceivable! i became searching into it too at the same time as i became pregnant, in simple terms to make sure. I absolutely have one blue and one multicolored eye, and my husbands eye shade looks to modify between brown and eco-friendly. From what I study, with eco-friendly interior the image, some thing is conceivable. Brown is dominate, and blue is recessive. in case you comprehend the interest shade of both moms and dads moms and dads you could chart what the possibilities are of each shade. you actually gained't comprehend for positive until eventually the toddler is a year or perhaps older. they're going to likely come out a slate blue shade, and modify in the course of the first year. My boy has blue now. he's 3 months, and all started with the darkish slate blue shade. We did in simple terms study that my husbands eyes were blue until eventually he became about a year. Then, they appeared to modify over nighttime to the perfect eco-friendly brown shade they're actually.
