My 4 month old daughter has a bald spot on the back of her head from rubbing and seems like starting to get a little flat on the left side of her head from sleeping. I put her to bed and try to reposition her for her head on the right side and check on her throughout the night but when I sleep I can't do anything about it. She also HATES tummy time and cries and this worries me because this will hinder her gross motor skills devlpment but she does spend plenty of time upright but how do I get her to enjoy tummy time because I think this will help with the flat spot.

My little girl hates tummy time as well and she jus turned 4 month. And a few days ago I posted a question about it worrying that the would not learn how to roll over or to crawl and to my surprise the very next day she rolled over to her stomach and back. I guess babies learn how to do that on their own when they are ready. Don’t force her to do tummy time if she does not want. When she is in a good mood put her on her stomach and play with her in tat position. Show her toys, make your eyes wide and act as if though you are really excited. That will hold her attention for few minutes.
As for the bold spot, my little girl has it too and our ped said that it is completely normal, nothing we can do about it and it will grow back when she learns to sit on her own.
If you think that she is getting a flat spot bring it up with your per on the next visit. We had a flat spot because she used to hold her head to one side when sleeping. To change that we just turned her crib around and she started sleeping to the left. We also bought a Head-N-Back Sleep Positioner available at target for $15.99 and it has really helped with straightening the shape of her head. Hope this helps. Good luck.

Here's a few suggestions, but keep in mind that some babies just hate tummy time no matter what.

give her new interesting toys to play with during tummy time. Place a non breakable mirror for her to look at.

Lay on your back and place her on your chest on her tummy. Or lay her across your lap.

Prop her up on a boppy pillow.

Start slowly, 1 minute and then try to increase the time. Place her on her tummy and set the timer and let her be on her tummy even if she cries or that allowed time (for example 3 minutes) and only pick her up if she's really upset.

Tummy time is important, but there are other ways to keep her from being on her head. There are seats like the Bumbo or Prince Lionheart seat that allows babies to sit upright as soon as they have head control. Same with an entertainment play center.

Don't rush your daughter on tummy time. My daughter was the same was at 4 months. She hated it. Everytime I put her on her tummy she cried. She's 6 months now and when she learned to roll over on her own (at 5 months I think) she was ok with being on her tummy. Your daughter will do it at her own pace don't rush her. I thought the same thing but it's not true. What I did was I would hold my daughter sitting upright. I would put her in the exersaucer or the jumper. My daughter has a bald spot too but she's rounded. I think flat spots are genetics.

Hello,
This is a good guide with a step-by-step method to get your hair back http://hairagain.toptips.org

Male hair loss is the most common type of hair loss. It's caused by increased sensitivity to male sex hormones (androgens) in certain parts of the scalp, and is passed on from generation to generation. There are many factors that can attribute to hair recession or massive hair fall. You can try to regain your full head of healthy hair by following natural methods: they are cheaper, they have no side effect and very often more effective than conventional one.

As said above an interesting guide you can follow to get your hair back and prevent future hair loss without dangerous chemicals and drugs, and without expensive supplements or painful hair transplants is available on this site: http://hairagain.toptips.org

My son went through this it is called plagiocephaly (flat head syndrome). His was serious because it was very noticeable.Your daughter's sounds minor but check with your doctor so it doesn't lead to plagiocephaly. Maybe that mat they sell with things the baby can look at and entertain herself while on tummytime. Here's a website that you can check out.

just keep trying tummy time. Even if she only does a few minutes at a time a couple times a day, it will benefit her. Even if she fusses/cries a bit, keep at it. A couple of ideas: Prop up a mirror so she can see herself in it, use a boppy or roll up a blanket so she can prop herself up a bit, lay in front of her (face to face) so she will look at you, put her favorite toy in front of her.

If you want to put your baby to sleep in 20 seconds you must get the "Instant Baby Sleep" MP3 sound track. Here is their official web-site: http://www.instantbabysleep.net

The sound track gently produces energy over the full human hearing spectrum with an embedded pulse that gently eases the brain to the Alpha state well known for drowsiness and sleep induction.
