My child is going to be 3 in April and I was just wondering what he should be able to do by now eg colours, shapes, drawing what? Ive looked in books and I cant find anything that says what he should be able to do. So I dont know what to teach him, should he be able to draw? or dress himself? any help would be very much appreciated.

I had gained 19 pounds at the doctor. Does this sound normal? Have I went overboard? I had a healthy BMI when I conceived.

I have a five year old son who has ADHD. It is really hard to explain simple words to him in order to make him understand. The word that got me today was responsibility...his glasses fell off of his face and instead of stopping to pick them up he just kept playing and they ended up getting stepped on and bent. Another word is respect. I am having a real hard time with him and refuse to give up on him. Please, help me to help him....Thanks in advance.

Abortion is an inhumane act and should be well thought out. Nearly half of pregnancies among American women are unitended, four out of ten of these are aborted. I have researched the different precedures that are taken when a abortion is preformed and all of them mutilates and inflicts pain among the
unborn child. I need your help. Im doing a project on this subject for school. I could use all the feedback on your opinions for "pro life" and banning abortion. Even if you don't agree with me I would love to hear your opinion. Thanx ;)

I am in college and doing some community service work at a kindergarten school. I watch over the ages 2-4 and i constantly see the teachers hitting the children in the forehead, knocking them in their back. I can tIruly say no one has ever hit me that hard that you could say a yard away and hear a teacher know a child in their backs. i sometimes am sick to go there because of all the abuse. I saw this 2year old child that they were forcing to eat her lunch that she vomited. Iam so tempted to slap the teacher across her face but i have to remember what i was there for. I try my best to treat them with love. Should i wait until i leave in a couple of weeks or say something now and be on bad terms with all the evil teachers. Today a lady from the Ministry of Education gave them a surprise visit that i was so shocked to see how they spoke properly to the children, but as they lady left, they transformed... What to do?

Last mens. was december20-25. 2 sets of home preg tests were done(last Monday & today, also a Monday)--both positive. but symptoms like sore breasts or darkened areolas, implantation bleeding or a brownish discharge, morning sickness or nausea, Fatigue and a dull feeling, headaches, constipation, are virtually non-existent. However, "minor" symptoms like food cravings(quite doubtful about this given that she usually craves for food, pregnant or not) exist. Also, lotion-ish, non-sticky opaque white discharges come out for almost 2weeks now(these discharges, according to her xperience, comes out a few days or weeks before mens.). The discharge seem to confuse us.It would b worthy to mention too that she took medications(asthma med Prednisone days/weeks prior last mens on Dec, and phenylpropanolamine last January). it was odd that her mens.cycle did not stop after taking prednisone(taking this before stops her mens. 100%of d time;this December was d 1st time her mens was not affected by it).

I Mentor a boy (heas a young teen) and his Mom is dating a new boyfriend. She had only known him for about 2 weeks and had him "sleepover" (several times) at their house while my mentee and his little sister was home. This isn't the first guys to walk through the door. I obiously think she is a little easy (cleaned that up for you) . I also don't think this is a good thing for the kids (especially for her daughter), but is there anything I can do? (probably not). I'm pretty sure it bothers the kids because my mentee seems more agitated when a new boyfriend arrives on the scene. Any suggestions or comments?

Ok, I know this sounds funny, but I was spying on my son playing with his " little guy " and he allowed the cat to watch his indecent assault on himself. Now wouldn't a normal young man get rid of the cat before treating himself like an amusement park ? I've taken his goldfish out of his room as a precautionary move, I don't want to hear any splashing at night when I"m trying to get some sleep. I have called his teachers to let them know that there will be no pets allowed at the weekly " show and tell ". I've talked to my wife and she thinks I"m overreacting so I slapped her for talking back to me while I'm in a parental nightmare. I"m just not sure what to do, I"ve cancelled the discovery channel and got rid of all national geographic magazines and cancelled our trip to the San Diego Zoo..what more can I do ? any suggestions ?

My baby and i have had it for over 2 months now. We tried nystatin for both of us with no luck. I've tried gentian violet, GSE topically and orally for my baby. I have been on Diflucan (Fluconazole) for 2 weeks now with no real improvements. I resorted to pumping because it hurt his mouth at 3 weeks of age and now he's almost 12 weeks and we STILL have it. My doctor is an idiot, but my insurance wont work for any good doctors. I also tried miconazole topically and apple cider vinegar for a while. Now, using GSE topically seems to keep most of the horrible burning and itching sensations at bay. I'm also taking it in capsule form as well as Bio-k plus that has active cultures in it. I just want to get rid of this horrible thing so I can teach him how to breastfeed again and get back to work before I go broke. I have spent a fortune trying to get rid of this. Pumping and then feeding him with it in a bottle, along with endless sanitizing is making life miserable. PLEASE HELP

My daughter is seven years old and has ADD. I was afraid of medicines because of all the horror stories. She is about to fail 1st grade so I went for it. She is doing well on the pills, and has made a major improvement. But she still is failing her tests, having trouble completing her work, or getting started for that matter, and other things that ADD children have problems with. Does anyone have experience with ADD children that could give any advice on how to further help her be able to concentrate, stay focused, and succeed.
